I have the videos.

Ralf had two consecutive attempts at the challenge where he missed the first shot, so his score should have been 0, 0. I'll check it in a second to make sure.

I'll post the video to youtube later today, Ralf will probably kill me when he sees me for doing that, but he's still a shoe in for the Hall of Fame (so get over it Baldy).

Marco Tschudi, Thorsten and I were watching this video at the Mezz event a few months ago. I told them that I've been watching Ralf play since the late 1980's, and this was only time I had ever seen Ralf miss two shots in a row.

No, no trouble but you should have seen him give me the eye when I remarked that he had left his briefcase under the table and he had given me plenty of time to look inside. :eek:

It's time to send a room set-up request to Chad so we're not moving furniture on Sunday morning. I propose setting up pretty much like last year. Two tables doesn't give a lot of room for spectators, but we're not dependent on getting some other table elsewhere during crunch time on Wednesday when everyone is trying to get in their last 8 innings which they couldn't do before because they were waiting for the draw and the 3-hour match hadn't finished yet, and the buy-backs were still coming in, and ....

I'm also going to ask for a ball-cleaning machine. Anything else I need to ask for?

I hope to see most of you there. I regret that some of you need to be elsewhere.

Ooooh all the talk of this side action for the boobie prize is making me wanna go even more than beforebut I guess I will just have to sit at home watchin rail-bird tv !

OK,
FTR, I do not understand the attraction of straight pool but I know that there is a lot of serious interest by pool enthusiasts of all levels of play. While I won't play, I pledge to go to the 14.1 Challenge Room, to be quiet, to be still, to watch, listen and perhaps learn why so many people love this game so much. Perhaps if I learn, I too will have the urge to play this game.

By the way, does anyone have a cuetable diagram of the shot that starts the run? I imagine that novices who want to participate in the event might want to practice it before going to the event.

It's awesome of you to host this event, not only putting up the large sum of prize money but also putting in all of the many long hours to run it.

Thanks for your valuable contribution to the Derby City Classic, Bob.

On the other hand, many are not fascinated by one pocket. I can't understand the lack of attraction to either game.:grin-square:

The break ball and cue ball are both "in hand" so there is no set shot to start.

it's no fluke that the greatest pool players both dead and alive, were or are expert 14.1 players.

agreed, there IS a LOT of luck in 14.1. unfortunately most of it is bad. ;)
 
Accu-stats has agreed to do the finals again, so there will be a $500 bonus for any (player-commented) run over 100 and $1000 bonus for 150. Pat agrees that it is not a good idea to run through Saturday, especially considering that some players will need to fly to Germany that weekend.
