A quick shout out

I want to publicly give a shout out to DENO ANDREWS, who presented Allison Fisher when she was inducted into the Hall Of Fame two weeks ago. His speech about Allison was the best I ever heard for any inductee. He spent only a little time dwelling on all her record breaking performances, but more time talking about the fine person she was. All true by the way. Allison is class personified!

I saw a very different side of Deno that night and I was quite moved by it. He is a tremendous public speaker, articulate and well spoken. I was also quite happy that we got a chance to speak early in the evening. We have had our differences in the past, but that is water under the bridge now.

I still think a very talented man like Deno tied his wagon to the wrong star, but truth be known that could have been me as well. I applied for the position of tournament director with the IPT years ago. After what happened I'm glad I wasn't involved. I wish Deno all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to seeing him again.

Like Corey said, nice post. You're a bigger man than I am because I can't/won't forget the past. If he had made one or two mistakes, I could probably get past it but that isn't the case.

Kudos to you for being able to get past it and congrats to a very classy lady on a well deserved HOF induction.

Deno is 'da man. I met Deno on a pool NG many moons ago, and those were my first interactions with him. As time went on, I realized he was a real pool aficionado.

The first time I met him, I was blown away by how young he was, and I soon was impressed with his professionalism.

Deno Andrews is good people in my book -- LITERALLY. :wink:

I can agree with most all the above: Deno has always been +1 in my interactions with him. I didn't like to see him attached to KT, but I am sure he honestly felt he could lend a sense of legimitacy to the project. Too bad he had shit to work with, IMO he did his best to contiue to make the IPT a success, long after he was alone on the boat.

Like they say, the road to hell is paved with good intention.

In fact, Deno has a whole lot of pool in his heart. He's been very kind to me in all my dealings with him!
