Doc, tell the police about AZ Billiards and how far ranging it is. That way, they may be willing to post whatever photo they have of the perp on here. Someone may actually know the guy. Plus any other relevant information. Just like they do with bank robbers. Please let them know how well regarded Mike was in the billiard community.
If we see a photo of the perp, he will be spotted in any poolroom he walks into. I'm certain that the folks of AZ can help them apprehend this guy.
Like Jay says, the AZ Billiards community is wide spread and reaching and if the guy has hung in a pool room for any length of time or gambled, HE IS KNOWN.
HOWEVER, there are two problems. One is the cause of death. The Sheriff's Department should announce the cause of death or if they are unable to establish the cause of death, they should at least say it looked like he was bludgeoned or shot. The truth is that a vigilante hunt is not something anyone should be involved with UNLESS, Mike was killed.
If Mike was killed, the surveillance that was taken at Skeeter's Pool Room should be made available to the Main Forum (or at least a picture of the person described as Jerico, with instructions that if the person is seen to call a specific telephone number. No need to become involved in something that you aren't qualified to handle. It could be dangerous to you and other people in the area.
The investigating officer needs to have someone explain in detail what AZ Billiards is and how it can help to locate the person in question.
I read that Doc said the autopsy may be performed on Monday but they must have some information that they could share. Time is the enemy.
They have had Mike's body for at least TWO DAYS. Mike's brother arrived today and maybe he can share some information with some of the people that were close to Mike on a daily basis. Mike's brother, probably doesn't have a clue about what AZ Billiards Main Forum is let alone, what a great resource it can be in situations just like this. Maybe a close friend of Mike's can bend Mike's brother's ear and share with him how we might be able to help.
