After his shape play and the crutch incident...YES PLEASE!!!
Sorry, sorry...was just to hard to resist!

Anyways, I am glad to see Dennis Hatch playing so well and being so pumped up!!!
I'm also glad to see Oscar holding his own and in spite of a couple of mistakes, he hasn't let them get him down and has several times followed those mistakes up with an excellent shot in return!

WAY TO GO USA ROOKIES!

What an exciting player DH is! I have never seen him play before, and I don't know if he is always like this, but his fiery atitude is fantastic. Anyways, does anyone know what time tommorrow' session begins?
Thanks

I told dennis that today he played like he played in 1991-1993.Those he was top 2 in the pro division.

Today some thing of interest happened during the Mosconi cup and I liked that drama. Now and then we hear about some guy from the audience running across the soccer and footbal fields and the security chasing the guy.we don`t have that kind of fun in pool because we are too intense and serious.when everybody in the audience was supposed to be seated one very pretty women thirtyish dressed like Lady Liberty (including the tiara) holding up a playcard saying USA, ran in the gulley between the fence around the playing arena and the audience seating and she also was shouting " USA ". The organizers of Mosconi cup did not like that and the Lady liberty was given a warning.

Dennis is one of the top players in the game right now. All he has to do is play his game and forget about everything else he's lights out.

The hatchetman

ditto that, thats why i think he was the perfect final player, that aggressive, fierce play and heart of a bull is his nature and the beuaty is he seems to be always in control. And yes he is playn like when he should of won the 1991 u.s. Open 9b championship against buddy hall when hatch broke dry on the case game leaving an easy out, shouldnt say should of cause buddy played great hatch just caught a bad beat...he has caught a gear and he is gonna be tuff...one-plus-one, that was great Dennis....stay on em team usa from buffalo

Yes, I do believe Team Europe has a player like Hatch, that will back up and support his player in the war, no matter what. All of the 5 Europeans are happy, funny and great guys to be around, but none of them are the kind of guy jumping into the ring celebrating after the last 9-ball is pocketed. Tony Drago and Marcus Chamat are that kind of players, but all the 5 Europeans are, in lack of a better word, a bit shy. That doesn't need to mean anything when they are winning, but when they are facing a happy team USA on fire they need someone to fire up their own team.

Anyway, I'm all set for a new day of torture. I do however know my own limitations of how much beating I can possibly take in one night, so I've made some plans so I can only watch the first match and the last 2 matches today.

I'm still a believer, and I know that God will not give us Europeans more than we can handle, I just wish he didn't have so much faith in our team...

Roy,
Ever since I've seen how jazzed up you've been awaiting this year's Mosconi Cup, I have really looked forward to seeing what you would have to say about the matches this year. Win or lose, I knew your posts would be good. And humorous. But you've outdone yourself with all these funny comments! You've shown yourself to be a very good sport about all this!

I repped the post I quoted, but really, many of them are deserving. The total body of work, if you will. Self-deprecating humor can be pretty funny at times.

One more thing my friend. On that looooong plane ride home back across the pond, you'll have hours & hours to remember that you had a 50-50 chance in picking a winning team! :)

Mosconi was an American. As is his cup!

u s a u s a u s a u s a

I read that outloud several times. It sounded like someone choking on a piece of meatball until I realized there must be an "S" in there!

You need a super-duper decoder ring from a box of CrackerJax, a Navajo Windtalker or the Hubble telescope to see that itsy-bitsy white "S"!

I'm da type that always pulls for the underdog !

All I can say is WOW..U S A is putting oon a hell of a show of great play & heart..This blend of players are proving to be a special blend that truely play well together..So great to be able to sweat the matches for free even tho Ida been more than glad & willing to pay for it..wish even more that my shedule would have allowed me a trip to vegas..GEAUX U S A !!!!

I'm one of those crazy fools who thinks that Dennis has that top echelon game any time he wants to play. IMO, he has that talent for knock down supreme elite greatness. But, the drive just isn't there to play day in and day out. I think this Mosconi Cup is a good example of what level there is in Dennis Hatch. Look how high his game is, shot for shot for shot. That's the early 90's Dennis Hatch.

Me and my damn mouth
Not for nothing Roy, but you helped to provide even more entertainment for what proved to be one the most exciting matches for any U.S. fan in any sport.

If it comes to pass that there actually are pool gods and that you actually did jinx the Euro team, I won't tell anyone.

Fred <~~~ probably heading the wrong way anyway

Yessssssssss!!!

USA! USA! USA!

Roy I don't think you're boys got a chance.

I have 10K on USA getting 5-1 odds!!!!!
