What percent of posters here shoot on leagues?

and what league do you play in?

I shoot in ACS League.. and city league. One reason I play in the city league is because of the money. My team won 1st place last session and me and 3 other guys got to split up 2700.00. My team has won the last 5 sessions for the ACS in our pool hall against maybe 8 other teams and it only pays out like 150.00 per man...which sux

I play in leagues 6 nights a week. Only reason that I don't play all 7 days, is because I only have 6 Dead Stroke shirts!:grin-square:

I do play leagues, so I am only making fun of myself also. I play a local league here. It qualifies us for BCA, VNEA, ACS, and the leagues state tournament, which pays up to $10,000 for teams.

Somehow I got talked into play on a UPA 8 ball league, what sold me was big tables and its at my home room and is in house but the payouts look like they will be crappy. Good thing is I have yet to lose a single game in the first 2 weeks so far, will see how this Wednesday goes. I am a 5 in the league, not sure how I got made a 5 but I am sure that wont last long. :grin-square:

I shoot in the APA im a skill level 7 in 9 ball and 6 in 8 ball. I have fun doing it but in all seriousness as a better player I dont suggest it. for example. as a 7 i have to pockett 55 balls and if you play a 1,2,or 3. they have to go to 14,19,and 25. wiht no push outs or jump cues being allowed. I also play in amasters league now which i love.

rattleryan,

im a 7 in apa 8 ball, so i understand what you are talking about. the other issue with apa is that being a 7 kind of makes you a team killer because of the 23 rule.

i also shoot in a tap league where im still getting away with being a 6. much better and with the 25 rule it's much easier to keep a decent team together.

I only play in APA. If I had more time I would play in a cash league too, but no time.

Private league run by the house pro, considering switching to a different league to mix things up.

In between at the moment.
However have been in the APA for about 12 years. Itsall that is offered in the area.

Currently moving to an area where they have TAP, APA and BCA as well as a plethora of private leagues and ring games. Looking forward to it.

I also play in the Players League and I'm on an APA team. The Player's league is a league in Pittsburgh run by Chuck Farinella--its a great league.

I think that pool league play makes up 10% of my play as it consists of 9 to 10 games depending if I get a chance at the table.

As far as what percentage of me shoots on a league. I would say most times 100%, sometimes a little less when I leave my brain somewhere else. :rotflmao:

jdxprs,

I've been playing in a local house 8-ball league for the last 6 seasons, or past two years. Playing in the league has raised my game and sustained my passion for the sport.

i play in both APA 8 ball and 9 ball leagues, gives me something to do two nights a week, it is helping my game since i always try to play higher rated players.
