I got a odd desire to find out what a bottle looked like so here it is...just in case you were ever curious.

Its what you send Preacher for.

Thanks, I've never seen a bottle that I knew.

I think I could have done without knowing it's bourbon. There should be a law against calling spirits made from corn, whiskey. (and Rye for that matter too)

As supported by Wikipdia: Scotch whisky is whisky made in Scotland. In Britain, the term whisky is usually taken to mean Scotch unless otherwise specified. In other English-speaking countries, it is often referred to as "Scotch".

Movie - The Hustler

Minnesota Fats - "Preach! Go down and get me some White Tavern whiskey, a glass and some ice."

Fast Eddie - "Preacher! Go on down and get me some bourbon, J.T.S. Brown. No ice. No glass."

IMO - I believe the "White Tavern whiskey" was meant to be the FATS HUSTLE. Some drink he ordered that was known to the Preacher and contained little or no alcohol.
Fast Eddie fell for it and ordered a bottle of J.T.S. Brown. Eddie got drunk. Fats stayed sober 'til the end.

aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so thats what it was!

I always thought JTS Brown was a fictional name...did somebody have that label printed, or is there really a JTS Brown bourbon.

BTW, to be called Bourbon, it must be made in Kentucky. Thusly, no "Tennessee sippin' whisky" can be a bourbon.

This has been my desktop pic for a while... maybe an older version, 10 yrs old instead of 6.

I have a few bottles that are a few years old. A buddy of mine picks it up when he's in the Dayton area from time to time. If anyone is interested in a bottle, I can bring a few to the DCC. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. Don't worry, it's not top-shelf stuff. I think it ran me about $15.00 per bottle.

This was also discussed in the following thread: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=39912&highlight=brown+bourbon
