i am thinking about going again this year.. has thread been started about hotel blocks or is everything soldout? both hotels at convention center seem to be sold out but maybe a block was taken out for certain groups? thanks mickey carroll

You will never get the Scantcon. Allan books the entire hotel. The Radison is sometimes available. If you try to book for one or two nights it is likely you will not get a room. If you ask for 3 or 4 nights you might have a shot.
I stayed at the Radison twice. I was very unhappy with their service.
The are about 10 hotels within a five minute drive. They are all cheaper and very nice. Some even give a free breakfast.

Try the Park Ridge Clarion. It's just two minutes up the road. They run a shuttle to the Expo until about 11 PM i believe.

I stayed at the Best Western this past year. It is only about a 5 minute drive straight down the road from the convention center.
The staff were very friendly. Especially when the stripper and I were both in our underwear and got locked out of the room at 9 in the morning. LOL LOL I had to walk all the way to the office (outside) in my bare feet and boxers. She had on a thong and bra, I had on a t-shirt and boxers, so I took off the shirt, gave it to her and made her walk with me!!. Oh man it was priceless.

Yes it was priceless. John was a few doors down fom me and I don't know what it is, but every where this guy goes he ends up with a stripper from the nearest T^&*BAR. Believe me he ain't no Brad Pitt, but I guess he's got something? It was a good time made by all Myself, my partner Michael and Jim Pierce. If it wasn't for the airline making it so miserable for a person in a wheelchair I would be there this year. I met Bill Schick after talking to him on the phone several times and found we were cut from the same Okie cotton.

I stayed at the Motel 8 down the road .. I got 3 days for 140..
Been staying there for years. Not the best but relatively safe. Tried the Best Western across the street for the ten ball. Great breakfast. This years rates are thirty dollars a night higher! Back to Motel 6.

well i figured instead of geting a christmas gift for myself that i would get myself the trip back to sbe for my gift....anyway still looking for hotel on site but if that doesnt pan out i will stay down the street i am going to get a rental car for the trip so no real big deal...thanks for all the advice..mickey carroll

we have been in the Radison for the last 5 years in a row. Once we got in, we automatically book 3 rooms the day we get there for the following years SBE. It has never failed us yet.

Don't know about king of prussia. Actually I don't think there are any in KOP but Philly is right down the road where you are sure to find a few clubs. The lady from my story came from a small club a friend of mine took me to. And nope I cannot disclose the location :wink: He would kill me if I did!!
