Update on the Des Moines pool scene

There are 10 or 11 league systems in Des Moines. Those get players out at least once a week.

The guys who post here also play league but focus more on gambling, imho. But I think it is the leagues that get players out of the house and playing, THE main ingredient, thus the conversations.

I got all caught up on the thread while my batteries for my R/C truck were charging up! OH YEAH! I'm ready to go now! Gonna go see if I can break something 'else' in the house while the wifey is at work!

Haha I was wondering when someone from this thread was going to say something about those threads.

According to this thread Des Moines is in Nebraska.
 
Trend setters man! That R/C truck looks really big or it's a super close up picture. It looks like it is 2-3 ft tall!

NEBRASKA:eek::eek: I thought DesMoines was in Kentucky and Council Bluffs was in Nebraska.

Its just about a foot tall and about a foot and a half long. Its 1/10th scale. I just got back inside from running it in the snow(gotta love waterproof electronics!). Talk about a riot!

One of the shop guys at Hobby Haven was flying a tiny one around inside last time I was in there. It was pretty sweet. Only cost a hair more than a benji! Why don't you go pick me one up and we will call the snow plow deal even! I will even let you fly it for a bit first...
 
Mike are you going to be at Big Dogs tonight? Chelsea is coming so we can play you. I also want to try out the new shaft on the big table, and the other guys don't like to play on them.

Okay I'll come play tonight. I'll play with you when I come up. Remember you don't need an opponent to practice. My damn ankle is killing me from a near fall I took while shoveling snow.

Well i was not kidding when i said the stranger. Can only type with one hand and my other arm is slinged and cant feel a thing. only differece is the guy said it could last up to 36 hours instead of 12 with no feeling. happy tuesday all

im actually in no pain yet. since they rendered my arm useless so they could do the surgery i dont feel anything till it wears off which could take awhile like i said. then it will be drug time. for now laugh away...the stranger is the sh*t lol
 
Phil and I had quite a battle playing one hole tonight. That man is tough to beat when he doesn't have the shakes. He took me off for 7 1/2 games in 8 hours.(he was likely to win the last one and let me out)

Note to self: Don't leave Godzilla a short rail bank.
