Introducing myself

And so I says to me self........ self.... give this Gent a fine welcome aboard and hope you enjoy..............

Hello fellow pool fanatics, fans and groupies (j/k on the groupies part) :p

I have been playing pool since I was a wee boy of about 10-12yrs old. I joined the APA in (according to the APA website) 2000 and have been playing ever since.

In '02 I bought my first custom pool cue from a local maker by the name of Ron Trager. Last year, in April, that cue along with one other got stolen :( . I was crushed and am still heartbroken over the loss.

Anywho, I have recently started to rebuild my cue collection. Currently I own a Meucci '08 HP-3 and a McDermott B-10 (bought this just last night as an early birthday present, today I turned 37).

If anyone here is from the Kansas City Area, I welcome you to come up and introduce yourself. I play primarily at SidePockets in Gladstone on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

I will be in KC next month to watch my oldest compete in a national contest and would like to go see Raytown Recreation in downtown Raytown, I'm curious have you ever been there?

Many times have I wandered down the rickety stairs to a place humbly called "Raytown Rec". Last time I was there it is what you might imagine a small hole in the wall pool hall to be. About 8 - 10 tables (not including Bertha and the 3-Cushion/Carom Billiard Table). Best of luck to your oldest. Hopefully we can meet up and shoot some before you guys leave our fair city. :)
