My father has been suffering with foot pain for years, the other day after seeing a TV Commercial about some new machine Dr. Scholl's had that did "foot mapping". He found a Foot mapping machine in a CVS, he sprung for the orothotics, and saw feet feel 100% better. BTW there is a money back guarantee on the product, and a $10.00 mail in rebate offered at this time. FYI

I think the rebate offer is no longer valid according to the pdf file.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone is getting back pain relief from these orthodics.

Ditto. I have had low back pain for almost ten years as a result of a sports injury. A long session of pool can really end up being quite painful for my back.

They work great

but never helped much with back pain. Standing on concrete 10hrs a day had my feet and calves aching. Went to a specialist he had these inserts made (very expensive). I still wear them everyday at work, that was in 2000. They appear to be just like the ones being made at drugstores now. Anyway I can get around the pool table all day in comfort.

I will pick up some Custom Made Orthodics, NEXT Friday from a Podiatrist, I have VERY FLAT FEET that have gone flat in the last 36 months, one real bad knee, and the other knee is heading the same way. Feet, Ankles, and Leg Pains, and I hope these Custom Made Orthodics help me.

As I said my dad bought a set off the machine, and he saw he feels better. He is 89, so feeling better is a big deal.

Sadly they haven't in the past made the orthotics from Dr. Scholl's in any size over 13 nor did they make them wide. So a 15EEE or 17 EE would be out of luck, unless they have changed things. I see these are 3/4 length so they might fit some larger feet if the arch in the orthotic hit the right spot on the foot.

Do you water ski on those feet,do you have orange hair and named Ronald
Man dont hate me I was just kidding,I mean no disrespect

I have custom orthotics made for my almost totally flat feet at the VA Hospital in Columbia, MO. I would prefer to walk on shards of broken glass than use those orthotics.

Buy some Red Wings. They are made for standing on concrete. They are the only shoes that I wear and my feet never get sore or "tired". The first time I went into the store I tried on a pair that looked like what I wanted but they didn't feel right. The salesperson said if they don't feel right now they never will. You don't break in a pair of shoes. Tried on a few styles and found one that felt great. Have been buying that style for years.

Very hard to have a good repeatable stroke when you have foot or back problems. You will shift you weight while shooting w/o even knowing it. I noticed my stroke became more straight and repeatable ater foot surgery. I had the bones in the bottom of both feet shaved. I was waking on bone before that. That is one of the reasons why as you get older your game drops off a little or a lot. Aches & pains and your joints don't move smoothly any more. Johnnyt

What did the VA say about that when you told them??? , "I would prefer to walk on shards of broken glass than use those orthotics"

Of course their out of luck. They gots big feet! :killingme:

The VA folks never said a thing because I didn't tell them. I just never wear them. I've been flat-footed all my life and have learned to live with the pain that often causes - but I could never, ever adjust to those orthotics. The most comfortable shoes I've ever owned were some SAS oxfords with built-in arch support. Need to get some more of those. When I find a comfortable pair of shoes, I'll wear them until they fall apart then glue them back together (if I can) and wear them some more.

how much did those orthotics cost?

I also have a completely flat foot and notice after a long session that my stroke starts to fall off. I just got the Dr Scholl inserts and they have definitely made a big difference.

It's ok Pete, I like little people :)
The shoes look "normal" on me. If I wore something small like a size 13 I would probably be off balance.

Guess I was built to have a good foundation in my pool stance.

Hey guys
just want to tell you something about the dr scholls foot mapping thing.
The commercial got me interested so i went to go stand on the machine thing the next day and was super interested. Said i need 410 or something. Looked at the price tag and BOOM! 50$!? No way am i spending 50$ on a product i know nothing about so i went to do some research.

Turns out the foot doctor community hates it because first the "mapping technology" is a 2D rendering of the bottom of your feet, which are 3D so it will be inaccurate. Nothing will beat a custom fit by a real foot doc! A doctor said the schols product is equivalent to putting marshmallows in your shoes. They will feel good for awhile but when they flatten it will feel the same as it did before.
