Found this on Ebay

First thing is that I don't believe that the weight sticker would still be on for after 36 years:wink: If I had to guess, I would say that cue isn't a Meucci! Maybe I will keep my eye on that auction and if some sucker-I mean someone that buys it at that price; I will list a 1957 Lucasi cue up for auction that was owned by Al picino!

p.s. - how's about the ferrule? :yikes:

There doesn't appear to be anything special about that cue, other than the seller's claim about it belonging to John Gotti - and good luck proving that - and even if it did, so what? I wouldn't pay anywhere near $2000 for it.

For that price does a horse head come with it. Or only if you have trouble paying for it.

Just my 2 cents. Looks like a McDermott. Ask seller to see the moochie stamp on the butt

That is NOT and Meucci or a McDermott....or any other American made cue. It is a Lishan and certainly not worth the $$$ he is asking unless you are buying strictly because Gotti owned it. I would also ask for some kind of certificate of authenticity, stating the origin by someone within the Gotti family.

It really doesn't matter who made it or who owned it, what makes it worth the $$$ is it has NO pulls:confused:. I got to bid on this.

Devil's advocate here: Am I the only one that's almost 100% sure that John Gotti never touched that cue? Or maybe this is like that episode of Seinfeld where George buys a car because the dealer told him it was Jon Voight's care previously, only to find out it belonged to some random guy who shared the same name as the actor.

Maybe it belonged to John Gotti ... John Gotti of Lexington, Kentucky, a father of three who works as a superintendent of an apartment complex.

Hey, I know John Gotti, and he's a father of 2 and a plumber.

That's his cue. He got it from the Liberace estate after it was refinshed by Balabushka and blessed by the pope.

I just want to know who's going to tell him it's not a Meucci? Won't be me.. lol

I can see us authenticating this cue " why yessir, that's one fine Meucci you have there owned by "The Teflon Don yer uncle John". Not all of them came with logo's or 5/16 X 18 flat faced joints, or long ferrules, or spray painted wrap, or any of the usual Meucci stuff."

"Can I go home now?"

Wow, that's a bummer. I thought everything on flea bay was legit........lol.....

Now THAT is funny. Also, I just noticed that the seller has indicated that no returns will be accepted. How convenient. The odds of this actually being a Meucci and actually being Gotti's cue are about equal to the odds of finding John Gotti himself.

I found the true Gotti cue! Please PM me with offers.
