If you had $250 burning a hole in your pocket and you wanted to spend it on something to improve your game what would you spend it on.

EXCEPT: No instructors, no pro pool player lessons, no videos.

I'd go and setup a match with .....

I'd go and see if Max Eberle, Corey Harper, or Either of the Dominguezes would play me a long set for it.

Corey's been playing good lately (not saying you were playing badly before lol), and Max, Ernesto and Oscar would always get my mind into that place where I seem to lose my game. I need to play more with my mind in that place because if I can get past losing my game in that place then I might actually be able to do something. I've been getting better at it by playing in more events, but as the OP states, what would I do with 250? that's what I think would best help MY game.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend that to others as being the best thing for their game though..

Eddie Robin's two written works on One Pocket

A good friend gave me that hardback plus Shots, Moves & Strategies. Good suggestion, though.

Joey:

That's one heck of a gift, friend! Really? Those titles go for $250 *each* on eBay now! I have hardcover autographed copies of both "Winning One Pocket" and "Shots, Moves, and Strategies" and they are indeed "chocketh fulleth" of some of the best One Pocket info I've seen. For a fan of this game (as I am), they're worth every cent -- one can cover the cost of these titles with just one or two victorious match-ups.

If anyone out there loves the game of One Pocket, these two titles are highly recommended. (But obviously, as Joey stated, they are disqualified for this poll from the outset, because they are "instructional materials.")

Think I would use it to fund some $5.00/Entry Tournaments. Save $80.00 for Little Joe's NEXT DVD, and Fast Lenny/Frost One hole DVD..

My breakrak came in on tuesday and because of work I have only had 2 sessions with it. In that short time I have figured out a lot about my break it is an amazing tool. I can see that with about 5 more sessions I will have a much better break and the I use the better and more consistent my break will be.

I'm still trying to figure out why you eliminated the most effective ways anyone would have to improve their game.

Yep. I am very lucky to have such good friends. He and I have been playing pool together for over 20 years.

We basically started out at the same level. He doesn't gamble, drinks very little, plays far less pool than I do but he made a lot of money. Me, I gamble a little, drink a little (but no Patron) and have to start a poll to decide where I'm going to spend $250. :D

Steve:

JoeyA booted you from his sandbox, because you weren't playing nice with his toys (CPTs) -- you were making fun of them, saying how they're useless. He says that he would tell on you to Mommy if you approached his sandbox again.

(Ouch, I just bit my lip with the tongue-in-cheek on that one! :D )

J/K -- some Sunday morning levity,

Is a regional event considered a pro event because there are local area pros in them, or do they get classified as amateur events because they aren't made up up the majority of pros?

Going to pick one of these two based on the criteria.

Cheap sets with Efren.

I've heard he has played one pocket for $20. That's a lot of knowledge there.
