SUPER PRO TIP (red) ?????

I bought a cue that came with a Super Pro tip....It seems really hard but I sort of got used to it and was playing O.K. with it....But still kinda undecided about it....

Anyone play or has played with a Super Pro that can give an opinion on this tip??? Either good or bad......I heard Parica plays with this tip....

I've had some people tell me they come apart after awhile....I've heard they get really hard in the middle as you use them...Was just curious if anyone has had these problems....
 
I use these tips quite often on my cues.
Never had a customer complain.
I have a few customers that request these tips.
I think they hit very nice and hold chalk well.
As we all know, this subject is very subjective.

I gave all mine to someone that likes to play with them LOL.
 
Sounds like a tip I used to sell that I called the 'Red Dragon'. It was an inexpensive 7 layer tip, and was dyed red. Darn good little tip for the money, but a bit on the hard side.
 
SuperPro .... the best tip I have ever used and most of my friends
are now using them on their cues as well. Sometimes cheaper can be better.

They DO NOT come apart and they hold chalk really well, especially
the Blue Diamond Chalk.
 
I use one on my break cue and I love it, way better than using a phenolic. I dont think I could play with one though, they are a bit too hard for me. Weird thing about them though, whenever I see them listed somewhere for sale they always are rated as "medium". I think I would classify them as either hard or extra hard.
 
Cost aside, they are great tips. I used them as standard tips on my cues for a while & had wonderful results. I prefer solid tips, but in the realm of layered tips, the Super Pro is my favorite by long shot.

hay art they're good tips! they play like a hard tip and hold chalk well. they play good break good and as long as the balls aren't too close they jump the ball well too.

This is a great point! How do you play with it? It is indeed a harder tip, but I also find it to be agreat all around tip. I think it breaks, and plays well. It holds it's shape well, and is low maintenance also.
The point is that how much I like it shouldn't effect how well you play with it. Try some other tips so you can compare by all means, but find out what you like, and why. You'll be glad you did. Good luck with the search!
