They are still there. They are the ones that promoted, donated money to, and hosted the tournament.
Edit to add: That was really meant as a sarcastic joke. Europeans really have been playing ultra strong 14.1 for many years now. You guys certainly have my respect.

thats some bull, archer just lost his first match and he is out!!! all them other guys lost 2 or more matches
Dave Daya was also undefeated (including a win over Thorsten Hohmann) until he played Mika.
They hit the wall in those 200 point games, at least playing more than one in a day, except for Mika.

Yep a double elimination tourney should be double all the way through. The one loss guys got shanked.

I agree never liked modified single elimination, but that is what the tournament director set up. The round robin scheme seemed to work well though.
Archer and Daya were playing excellent. Maybe Archer should of lost earlier like Mika did LOLS.
Where is Harriman and Schmidt?? They could not make it or just passed on this one?
Or is it that they actually have other obligations and jobs, unlike most of the Europeans that solely play pool for a living.

I understand that John Schmidt just opened a poolroom in West Virginia, but I don't know about Harriman.
Ortmann leading 71 to 14 over See, See is at the table running balls.

I don't think they opened the room together.
