What shoes do you wear to play pool in?

Let me start by saying i have flat feet. At work i wear danner quarry boots. But for pool or going out i wear danner flashpoint boots. They are similar to a logger boot. I guess the big heal makes them comfy and stable.

for me I know

I have tried every Nike , New Balance ,and other tennis shoe made looking for long run comfort. Took my mom to get her custom shoes adjusted while visiting NC and the salesman there told me about and sold me a pair of Ecco's with custom inserts . All I can say is no other shoe I have ever worn has come close. They are not much to look at but for me do the trick for work and pool.

After a teammate pointed out that I play better in cowboy boots, that's what I usually wear. Odd as it may be, I do seem to play better in boots.
i wore cowboy boots for alot of years,as i got older i tried different shoes, for me now on cement floors like vegas where i usually hang in and play alot i wear lace up crocs.i also wear crocs when i work in my shop.my wife was a nurse on 12 hr shifts and mostly they wore crocs when they were allowed

I have a few different pairs that I play in that I really enjoy. I'm a bit of a shoe horse (I own probably 60 pairs of shoes - nikes, custom dress shoes, you name it).

The most comfortable shoes i've found for extended play are crocs. I have a pair of crocs santa cruz shoes that are basically like slip-on mocassins that are insanely comfortable and light weight. For something nicer but casual I have a pair of Nike Air Force One "charles barkleys" that are also really comfortable.

I was born with bad feet, I wont go into detail but my father has them aswell. I do a lot to "service" them. So I have a Life time of experience when it comes to foot comfort and discomfort.

This next statement is insensitive but I'm serious: until the last 5 or so years the most comfortable shoes I ever wore were Nike's that I bought in early highschool, and they were the shoes that were made in the Sweat Shops. After they stopped being made in the sweat shops they just never felt the same. Those kids made one hell of a pair of comfy shoes.

Now I have discovered NEW BALANCE shoes, and they are a blessing. I have become a shoe whore of sorts. I have 8 pairs: I have 3 of the same for work, when 1 wears out, I'll start wearing the others, walking shoes, dress shoes, you get the picture. New balance uses a number system to rate there shoe comfort and support. THe higher the number the higher the comfort, support, and the price. I alway's buy 1000 or higher, I have 3 pairs of 1223's, and a pair of 1500's, I'm looking into a pair rated over 2000.

If looking into newbalance and want a good pair, don't be cheap, your feet/back are worth the extra money. Look for sale's, If your going to buy online you can get great deals, up to 60% off depending where and when you buy them. But I suggest you go to a store where they sell new balance and find your right size, there size's are alittle different from other company's.

My friends Larry and Bill alway's bought the cheapest shoes, payless/walmart. And there feet alway's hurt. He started out buying a pair rated at 5-600, and didn't notice much differece, I told him he had to buy shoe's rated at 1000 or more, of course spending $100-175 on shoes isn't his thing. But last I saw him he had some 1100's and he was really happy with them.

THIS IS A LONG POST, BUT I'M REALLY PASIONATE ABOUT FOOT COMFORT AND NEW BALANCE SHOES.

I have New Balance shoes also, and I love them.

But I tell you what I love more, and that is my ROCKPORTS.

I have flat feet like many others who have posted. The absolute best shoes I have found for running, walking, playing pool or just about anything are Brooks Beast. They are expensive and heavy but they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. But oddly enough I play the best in Good old Converse All Stars. My feet hurt like crazy after the match but I always shoot the best when I am wearing them.

Dancing Shoes

I usually wear dancing shoes when I play pool. That way if I get lucky enough to win a match I already have on the correct shoes for what I am about to do.

Reebok leather classics are the most comfortable for me. I have a bad back and they really have helped.
I used to buy all the $100 - $160 Nike, but these are more comfortable.
They are available in black or white and are usually $50 -$60.

Lately, either my Reebok EasyTones or my Keen sandals (with or without socks).

I agree with the Keen sandals! This summer I didn't wear shoes one time to pool....wore my Keen sandals...they are the best. Unfortunately...it's now too cold to wear em for me.

Shoes

First, let me say, that I think shoe companies are missing out on something by not coming out with a shoe especially designed for Playing Billiards. I have even emailed several shoe companies about this. (I would love to have some classy comfortable tennis shoes that were Billiard oriented, in fact, I would probably buy 3 or 4 pair).

I play in tennis shoes most of the time. I, currently have, Reebok, Nike, And1, and a couple of other brands. I do think that the Reebok walking shoes have the most interior padding and comfort though, and seem to tire my legs or make my feet hurt the least when playing for a long time.

I play in sandals a lot in the summertime. I have a friend, Jr. Brown, that only likes to play in Cowboy boots, so I suppose it is all what you are used to.

Billiard oriented?? What exactly would that be? Chalk built into the ends? A loop to carry your jump butt? Side case for tip tapper etc...?
