Thinking about buying a SW

I have been thinking about buying a SW for a while but I am not a fan of the wide ring above the buttcap. For the most part, all the SW's out there are the same but with only different wood combonation's and veneers. I do like 6 points with veneers and I like their other standard ringwork in all the other spots so that will not be a problem. If anyone has a SW without that ring on the bottom and could post some pictures I would appreciate it.

It sounds like you need a Sugar Tree, someone post a pic of a 6 pointer for the lad.

Picture used is property of viperkiler, the bottom one is my favorite.

I have a wrapless 6 point southwest that has a solid buttsleeve with no wide ring above the butt cap as you call it.

I think the term is "Long Sleeve". This is a picture of one of the many SW's that Matty has in his collection.

Here's what you're looking for:

Gee I really miss this cue, thanks for bringing back the good memory :)

I may be wrong ,but I think they started making the cues your way and added this option back in the 80s
I like them both ways,I even had some made with Hoppe rings, ivory wraps etc

they are all nice

If you're looking for a South West based on the look, call Pete Ohman (Omen Custom Cues). He does a TON of South West 'inspired' cues. Some people even have a hard time telling the difference between the two. You can get the look you want straight from the cuemaker for less than the price of a SW and you won't have to wait 9+ years.

If you want the South West because it's a South West (no problem with that. I'd take an iPhone anyday over a Droid because, well... its an iPhone. Sad, but true. :o), then you're going to have to look into dealers like Indy Q (Roy Mallot), etc..

Either way, good luck in your search. For what its worth... I'm with you. I'm not a huge fan of the band in the buttsleeve either. But that's just me.

Stake, As my good buddy I would like to let you have my next spot on the list so you may order what you want. Hurry up and get your design in, because it should start being built in 2021:eek::eek::eek:
