Pool shark with a little chihuahua in him

The best player at Robin's Billiards in Monroe, Washington, has been known to engage in a few barkfests. Today, he's the main attraction and the best pool player in the joint. He refuses to give in until each ball is sunk.

"I will not let him play others because he'll beat 'em up," said the owner of the pool room. All patrons are warned to show no fear before they step foot in the joint.

Three-year old Amadeus is becoming an Internet sensation because he can clear the pool table by pushing the balls into the pockets with his paws.

Amadeus doesn't let up until each ball is sunk, looking around for praise each time he gets one in. His tail never stops wagging and he growls when the ball he's working with does not go where he wants.

“We did not teach him,” said Baldwin's wife, Constance. “I put him on the table and told him clear up the table.”

Amadeus finishes the job in about two minutes. His record is one minute, 17 seconds.

The Baldwins got Amadeus almost two years ago from their daughter Robin. She bought Amadeus for herself, but couldn't keep him after she enlisted in the Coast Guard.

Well, he scratched and wasn't one-stroking - I don't think he's that good.

LOL! Here's a better clip of Amadeus running out against a human. I guess fouls don't count, though: Amadeus versus Human.

What can I say, it's a slow day at the office for me, and I'm procrastinating work that I should be tending to. :embarrassed2:

Looks like a cool pool room. They even have tournaments, leagues, food, and even a variety of expresso drinks. I love that!

What's hilarious is their specialty on the menu is -- LOL -- hot dogs! :killingme:

Here's the Chicago hot dog for $3.25: poppy seed bun, Vienna all-beef hot dog, yellow mustard, diced onions, sweet green relish, two tomato slices, Kosher dill pickle spear, sport peppers, and topped with celery salt. Yummie!

He's an amazing little pup. Plus he's a handsome babe magnet. I enjoyed watching him clear the table. Will have to play it for my wife to see. Thanks so much for the post.

Cool video JAM thanks. Cute dog and I love the way he "talks" when shooting. I cant tell if he is using a aiming system or not but his shot selection is great:cool:.

I'm depressed after seeing that. :( Butterscotch can't get there and we've been working together for a while now.

Let's see a picture of Butterscotch!

Cuebuddy, that is funny how Amadeus talks to the balls before they fall in the hole.

ArizonaPete, you're avatar is adorable! :smiling-heart:

I wish we had a pool room like this in my neck of the woods. The only thing we have is loud bars with sports games, screaming, liquor, and loose women.

I long for the days of the *real* neighborhood pool rooms. They're gone. If I lived in Monroe, I'd be hanging out at Robin's Billiards. What a great pool room. I especially like it that she serves no alcohol, too. I never did like rooms with alcohol. The old-fashioned pool rooms had fresh coffee, homemade soups and sandwiches, and fresh pies, my kind of place.

Not bad, not bad at all. With a little practice, she'll be ready for the road. I'd sneak her in to Robin's Billiards and try to trap Amadeus. Don't show too much speed at first until you get the side bets going. Then let her barbecue him. I'll bet he'll have the whole room betting on him. You might score a big chunk of cheese. :grin-square:

*&%$#@ mutt

I had to stop hangin' around that room.
I didn't want to play but he kept hounding me....
..beat me for 3 bones...

Then i finally made a real score....

I used to live in Sultan Wa, which was about 10 miles from Monroe and used to hang out at probably this same place, just was a different name back then. This was back when the Florida Marlins won the world series.. so 2003. I remembering watching the final game in that place that night.

I also met a girl there, that became my partner for about 5 years... bad move, but hey.. you learn:D I was playing pool on the front table and saw her moving real good to the music and next thing you know, I took her to a pool tournament that night and well.... that was the start of a real cool time for a year or so.

Problem was... she was one of those people that "think" they're good at pool, even though they weren't .. at all. One of those people that got really ticked off when I would tell her, after her bragging about how good she was.. that she ain't sh1t. Oh well... some can't handle the truth:smile: I can't stand listening to people tell me how good they are, when the only thing they know about the game, is how to just hit the ball and hope to pocket a ball. They have no clue where the cueball is going afterwards, it's just try and make the ball and you shoot whatever, after it's done rolling. Scotch doubles was big up in that area, and it didn't take long, to not participate in that anymore, with a know it all that can't take instructions:D God, I'm glad I got rid of her.

It's funny to think that if he's this good now...

Just wait until he gets CTE down!!!

Actually he already has:

[C]hihuahua
[T]ailwagging
[E]ffect

"It's all in the tail!" (It "pivots" the entire time! :D )

Enjoyed that video and the article, Jennie -- thanks for posting that!
