1. From a cuemaker-wannabe who likes calling you late to chitchat or pick your brain ?
2. From googans who have a ton of cues but want you to make them shafts with your taper and config for under a hundred dollars? Of course they want the 20 RPI's and 4 oz shafts.
3. From your supplier telling you they are back-ordered on those phenolics?

you forgot to mention the call from the wife saying i'm sorry, your not gonna be able to go to the shop tonight, i need you to babysit.

Which phone calls are the worst ?

The ones that come the minute I start mixing epoxy.
Believe me, this happens far more often that what you would think.
It's like when you wash your car in the morning.
You can be guaranteed that it will be raining by the afternoon.
When I start mixing epoxy, there's a good chance the phone will ring.
It's almost scary.

I have an answering machine for a couple of reasons.
Either I'm not there to take the call or I'm too busy to answer.

Seyberts tried to give me a cell-phone a few yrs ago and I refused.
Their thinking was that there may be times when "we have to reach you immediately".
My response was that I'm not a brain surgeon and I don't make devices for the medical industry.
I have 3 land-lines and each has an answering machine.
This was back in the day when I was still making hay.
The simple answer is that, sometimes I just don't want to be got.

That's so true. If I ever start feeling lonely, I put on my latex gloves and start mixing epoxy. The phone will ring or someone will knock on the door.

Depending on the application, 24 hour epoxy may be the answer here. You can mix the stuff up and work with it for the next 2 hours  Of course the 4 hour set-up time / 24 hour cure time can be a problem, again depending on the application.

BTW Joey, a call from the blue hog ridr placed at 2AM would ring at your place at 1AM .... that's not so bad :p

Phone call worst are call from customers because the ivory buttcup of his cue was broken because of accidental bump.....

I hate when my wife calls. Its never at a good time and usually has to do with MY kids.
