Well I was in the shop today messing with some heating duct next thing I know I chopped my hand open and I was going to the ER.. 15 stiches later I learned my lesson. Wear gloves when messing with sharp sheet metal.

:eek:there is no exemption when it comes to accident, that why safety measures are necessary in our shops. Hope all is well to you and have a great build..

Some people forget the important part of injuring oneself, and that is to take pics...
Thanks, but try not to do it again.
Hope it heals soon.

uhg i showed this to my league team when you texted me tonight the first thing they asked was "did he get it stuck in a lathe?" lol

this wont slow you down, youll just play more pool, and use a open bridge

well wishing

Hope you heal well ,with no long term problems.....Sorry for your troubles.....Ray

I would call it an occupational hazard, like riding a motorcycle, it is not if you have ever been down it is sooner or latter you will be down, or down again. Think about a TETNUS SHOT for your own sake..

Inlay in hand

Looks like an Ivory diamond top spade bottom would fit in there nicely.
lol
sorry you were hurt...

Yeah, I could even brave the 7 min drive in freezing temps<not bloody likely>. Just think, between the 3 of us we would then
have 5 good hands and and 4 good eyes.

Damn Joe! Take care of it and heal up. I was cutting a cleared over wrap about 2 months ago and made a cut into my thumb about 3/4" long. Got the thinner out and super glue. Back to work 20 min later. Take it easy for a few days.

Take care!

DOUG

Thanks guys for all the support.. This is probly the worst accadent that I have ever had in the shop and I have had some doosies where I super glued and then back to work. But once I seen the raw muscle under that 2 inch flap I said ER here I come. So once again Thanks for all the support and I will try to have a speedy recovery..
Sheet metal:1 /Joe: 0 for now

Good luck on a speedy recovery. That will be sore for quite a while. You could take up whist or something.

Joe, Hope you have a very quick and complete recovery. Get well soon!!!

Ouch!!! That's proof positive that sheet metal will fillet You wide open, and a good reason to wear gloves while handling It. Good thing You got stitches on that one. It will help to keep from ripping It open again, and that should help It heal faster. I usually super glue and steri strip, although that doesn't always keep them from ripping open. That number you did on Yourself there would have probably convinced me to go get it stitched up though. I've have had some good ones Myself, but That looks like a really nasty one there. Hope You heal up quickly.
