I Want Someone To Build Me A Porn Site

Now that I have your attention....:D

We have talked about it for years. I have spent plenty of time looking and talking to people but nothing ever actually happens so maybe the group can show the way.

I want a web site that people can go to, buy a membership in and watch all of the hundreds of hours of pool I have sitting here on hard drives. A site that members get a discount on PPV's and merchandise, get special deals on products and cues things like that.

Basically the same functionality as every pay porn site on the web. I want that functionality but to host pool content. I dont want to code the damn thing from scratch I need something turn key with reasonable scalable hosting costs. I have no problem paying for it as long as it is a fair value. What I would love is to have a legit web master that knows what they are doing. I am VERY wary of turning over that much control though. Seen way to many webmaster horror stories.

I know about CMS systems but I don't have time to learn to build one. If thats the way to go I need a turnkey set up. So whats the move AZ land?

Any help or insight is appreciated. This stuff cant be this hard.
 
I'm currently working on this exact same thing right now for the Runout Media Video Magazine. If you find a nuts and bolts solution for us braindead folk, let me know. I'll do the same.

Sounds like a turnkey is something you just buy and then load in your data, so you have a website.

Sounds like an editor. That means instead of typing raw code, you just click on buttons and WYSIWYG when you view it from the internet. The name of the product is HTML editor, get an expensive one. The product will just be a point, click and drag experience, much more fun than typing code. I mean it increases productivity because keying in is time consuming.

The only risk with editors is creating a site that takes a long time to load, especially if you load up with graphics and heavy media.

There are some editors and websites that are just plug and chug products like AZ's Vbulletin software. But those look too generic and don't provide that authentic feel to it.

Aside from giving you suggestions on what to do with the content, that info is in the direction you seem to be interested in.

HTML editor pay top dollar no open source. Make sure when you buy it says it has support for the media file you plan on providing.

Its not porn its pR0n.

Midgets playing pool does that sell. People playing pool in costumes? Since you mentioned pR0n we might as well discuss the various ways to dress up a pool scene.

Maybe an intergalactic pool match. Or renaissance styled pool matches. No dialogue though, that just ruins it. No animals!!!
 
How about pool-related porn? I'd buy that in a minute. On pool tables, Jennifer Barretta, etc etc.

Since you started the name dropping we might as well see how far the idea can go.

Pool-related porn well it will need a cover for the dvd case or the sample for guests. Perhaps a bunch of fleshed up close-ups of pool cues, pool cases, pool tables, pool balls in a variety of awkward and unrealistic scenarios.

As for including professional players, I don't want to risk more unless you do.

Back to techie talk pR0n serving has become outdated. Its like the VHS tape in the blu-ray era. The new community now is all about portability, people have computers but they also have portable video devices.

The software you should look into that is ahead of the curve is time-sensitive podcast serving. In short it means people download, instead of stream, which means better playback and more comfort of watching on their time in a location of their choice (sounds like a porn ad).

The mechanism that is the safety feature is the time expiration on the computer file. After a week or maybe 2 days the file no longer becomes viewable. The upside is instead of a potential bottleneck from massive requests for streams downloading is more manageable and less costly for the server. Especially if you stream a live event and expect traffic to occur at the same time. Kind of like the first day of a new porn at the movie store, somehow you don't want to be the last girl there when the store is sold out. Now if we can figure out a way to get the girl in the porn to "mainstream" than the pool industry might be able to borrow some real concepts. Girls don't watch porn they just act in them.

Would you date a porn actress? I mean would you date an actress, does it matter what industry she works in?

I don't really see what's to risk here though, just opinions. I'd like to see Halle Berry and Mila Kunis as well, if that makes you feel more comfortable.

The AZ mod does not give warnings, they go straight to banning. Like a dirty character that only knows how to punish, a better analogy would be a pool pro that doesn't give you a turn at the table or won't let you get in on the action, they just want you to watch. I am not going to say what they make you watch, why don't you say it.

Actually they DO give warnings but I'm not really sure why they would be upset with anything in this thread.

When people make statements like that I get little edgy. I sometimes get the feeling I am being lied to and this might be one of those times.

I'm not sure if I've ever been warned, but I've seen plenty of people get warnings. I do not work for AZ.

I absolutely have no idea what you are talking about and guessing/hoping you are under the influence of something fun.
