Earl scratches, shane comes to get the ball, earl throws the cb to the other side of the table making shane go get it...

Earl breaks and makes a ball but has to play safe on the 1. He plays a bad safe and leaves an easy shot on the 1 but the table is a mess.

He works his way to the 5 before ducking. Earl's kicking game is often overlooked. He's a great natural kicker. They exchanged some great safes on the 5.

Earl finally scratches and Shanes finishes off the rack.

Pros....... I'll agree that he's not the player he once was.... I mean who is at 50 years old, but he did just finish second in the DC 1 hole.... That tells me that he still has alot left in his tank. Wasn't it 1 pocket?

I just cant believe that his career is over, unless he chooses for it to be over.

I'm not looking for a fight, was only asking a question and stating my opinion.

And I guess since I just posted 5 minutes ago, there could be no way I've been following along since yesterday, right? I guess you've got the rundown on how long everyone has been following along? And by your rationale, I can only make a comment like that after 6 hours of acceptable comments, is that right?

Seems more like you're the one looking to argue.

I'm not arguing either, just stating facts. No question, Mosconi was a great player AND he won many of his world titles in challenge matches. And he won them on nine foot tables. I'm not saying this is good or bad, it's just what it is. I don't have to ask Don Brink. I had the good fortune to know Willie and many of his peers.

No, just a little frkn tired after 6 hours of watching and posting on here for az'ers that are not watching....and everyone can root for who ever, i give the score, give props when svb shoots good, but then we gotta turn it into earl bashing again..... just enjoy the match.....you can bash on the threads tomorrow and i'll sleep thru the whole thing i promise you.....

Another great break by Shane. Has a very thin close range slice on the 1, which he makes. Has a runable table to work with. He underhits the 6 leaving a back and forth shot on the 7 to get on the 8. He gets there and gets out.

Yes, I'm betting he does not win 6 world championships.... mabye 5, but NOT 6......I like svb as I've stated since 6pm...... Heck, I even like Jay Halfert....

but jeez, enough about earl for a few more minutes......
