So, here's the story, two guys started playing for money, player A is better than player B. Started at 5 dollars a game 8 ball on a 9 footer. Player A gets up 10. They do a race to 3 for 10 and player A wins again. Then A says let's do a race to 5 for 20 spotting B 2 on the wire. A wins again. Now they are doing a race to 6 for a hundred and B has 4 on the wire. At one point B said to me that he is going to open up, basically saying he was hustling. Now in your honest opinion who is hustling who here? Or is player A trying to even it up and B is to stupid to see he is getting wrecked?

No hustling going on. A was seeing dollar signs, and trying to maximize profit. B was either trying to act cool, save face or the like. If B made the game and really was stalling trying to do something....... well, he just learned that hes not as good as he thought he was. Going from dump stroke to playing straight isnt a good idea if your opponent is a better player than you are.... :p

Haha, yeah B kinda had it coming, he's one of those loud types that "hustled" back in the day and made gonna money, and can shoot average today.

How do you guy's filter the bullsh*t that comes out of some peoples mouths?

Thanks for the replies!

play for the game and have fun

I understand the scenario but it sounds to complicated to enjoy the game.
they may need a referee and not for the pool game.
jmo take care, johnQBS

Yeah, I don't really think player B has a higher game, I have played him a lot of the last few months and am up on him like 30 bucks. (no real action where I am at/ been too Nitty trying to pay off my Chevelle) And the way he was shooting was the way he normally shoots, and A is way better than me. B just can't play safe very well, nor get out of them very well.

You know what is really happening here????

Player "B" is hustling.........himself.

As usual both players are hustling. Player A feels he is the better player by far and has the nuts. Player B has been on the lemon and feels the bet is about as high as it will go so he is going to take it off..he thinks. Johnnyt

There's no hustle going on there. getting 4 on the wire the weaker player has to try it. assuming he can run an open table

You hear people talk about how good they used to be all the time. The second you hear that, know that they're usually full of shit

Should also let him know, that he's not hustling if he's not making money
