if you're trying to make words you type, become the link.... you just type whatever you want to first

I want to make the words Cool Site become the actual link, so after I type Cool Site I just highlight Cool Site with my mouse, then click on the Insert Link icon (the planet and chain link icon) and paste my link in there. You will want to have copied your link into memory at some point, or you won't have anything to paste:D

1. Type whatever words you want the URL to be

2. Copy your link into memory, (open another tab or something to go get your link and hit Copy)

3. Highlight your word/words you want to be the link, then click the Insert Link icon in the post toolbar and paste in your link. (remember, when you highlight your words, that's all you doing, is highlighting them, your not copy or pasting anything, until you click the Insert Link icon and doing the pasting of your link)

It's hard to believe that this post is still alive. Since it is, let me set the record straight as far as myself, Mark Griffin and CueSports International are concerned.

Mark and I have chosen not to post here for obvious reasons. Most of the people that post here are intelligent people confirmed by the fact that you have read right through Mr. McConnell. It's really not necessary for us to post anything. We have neither the time or energy to answer his dribble.

Having said that, Mr. McConnell, you are hereby permanantly banned from any CueSports International leagues or events, and yes, it is a lifetime ban.

You will never, ever play in our organization.

That wouldn't be nearly as satisfying as taking him to small claims court and relieving him of a few thousand dollars.

Hi Sunny!

Big fan of your posts here. Just FYI, when you link, make sure you only have one instance of the "http://" prefix. Your links so far, including the one quoted above, have double -- e.g. "http://http://". When you highlight the text that you want to link and then click the hyperlink button in the vBulletin editor, make sure you blow-away the "http://" that's already populated there when the dialog box appears. I say this, because chances are when you're copying a link to the clipboard, it already has the "http://" prefix.

What a great post... put a little smile on my face. I mean, I understand the whole customer service thing and all, but at some point, you finally have to realize you just don't want certain customers, ever.

And finally, I see some swift and effective action against a guy that we have all "played" against at some point in leagues.

Kudos to you. And if Mr. McConnel does not fully understand your words, let me just add it is "foooorever, foooorever" ala the "Sandlot" movie.....
 
I am a BCAPL Op. I agree with other Op's in my area about banning or suspending players over the same things every year. Someone isn't happy bout this or that. It never works out for everyone. If that league/division changes the rules for that such league/division because of a vote, and it passes. The league supports the change for the better. All league Op's have the right to stop anyone from badgering other players. The league voted, and it should stay that way until the next meeting.

I agree with CSI, if a person pushes the issue in the league to get banned, then goes after the Board of Directors about the same. It can lead to lifetime banning. Which it did. Thanks to CSI for keeping the problem people out of the national tournaments that they produce.
 
Carl, I'd just like to offer my congratulations. You managed to get the attention of one of pool's national governing bodies regarding an obscure rule change in a local league - well played sir!

Of course in the process, you earned yourself a lifetime ban and managed to convince anyone who's read your posts that a) you're certifiably insane and B) no one in their right mind would want to be in the same pool hall as you let alone on the same team or in the same league.

Again well played sir, well played ........lmao.

I'm just writing this to help you become aware that I have taken the advice of several other people on this web-site, form your own league and play by any rules that you want to.
The new league will be playing by the BCAPL rules this winter. I hope that the current BCAPL league can find enough players to form half a league I only need a few.
As for you, you must be from the area involved since you are aware that the league operator has quit, there is, however, a replacement assigned temporarily seeking another replacement. I wish him a lot of luck!! And the second part of your question, NO, I will not feel sorry for anyone. There is no one from this league that plays in any tourneyment that doesn't play in another league to qualify. Now, how does the league have a big finiancial void as a part of any of my actions thus far?
The BCAPL acted on a request from the League Operator not on any original thought of it's own. It's own position would have been better served by siding with the player and the side of right!! The BCAPL made it's own problems!! Rules are Rules!!

As of this message it still is not clear regarding even ONE negative situation associated with the rules the way they are????

As far as using BCAPL rules or calling them BCAPL rules I think you might have to check with the COPYRIGHT holder on that one. But, you can call them CARLS rules but you would have to check on that!!!! HA HA HA There may be a carl somewhere that owns the rights to CARLS rules! You may have to think of something else! Wouldn't it be funny if the BCAPL actually did own the copyright on CARLS rules!!!! HA HA HA You know they may have to look into that??? It could not cost too much!! you causing this much aggravation might even be worth it to them.

So, i guess your new league is part of what system??
So, your league has nationals and regionals??
So, your league has a huge prize fund??
So, how many members nationally??

It takes a wise man to know its no fun to play ALONE!!!! Carl must not be too wise! Look at how many members his league has and how much fun it is to not have nationals or regionals and be in CARLS league all alone!!

I guess the room owner is in agreement to go with CARLS league??? In this situation! The room owner holds all the cards and they always have!!!! Room owners can AUTHORIZE which ever league it wants in its room or NONE at all!!
