Favorite Break Cue

My vote goes to Mezz Powerbreak DI II

I read on the Mezz cue web site that the butt of the Mezz PB2 is 4" shorter than the 'average' break cue. This would make the butt only 25" long.

Is the shaft still 29" (average break shaft length) ???

Does this make the Mezz PB2 only 54" long ???

What length is the Mezz PB1 ???

Mezz PBII

Yes, I have one. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Mezz PBII - I'm trying to determine whether it's worth the extra money. I have no way of trying one out - or any other model for that matter - so am curious as to why they're five times the cost of my J&J.

I like my Mezz PBII so much that I bought a second one in case they quit making them. You can really control the cue ball on the break as well as pocket the wing ball with the 4" shorter than normal PBII.....buy it!!!

The shaft is 29". The butt is 4" shorter. The butt breaks down into 2 sections so I carry mine in the long pouch of my case. Also comes with 3 weight rings so you can change the weight while you are playing in about 30 seconds.

Confused now. So the butt breaks down into two sections - does that mean it's a jump cue as well?

We are talking one shot cues. For jump Steve Lomax, for break Orange Crusher. An I have tried a lot of these one shot cues. An wasted a lot of money. Skip

Not Really

It is sold as purely a break cue but I have used it as a jump cue also and it jumps very well. I am guessing that the two piece butt is necessary to accomodate the weight rings. Perhaps Caroline Pao who is the US Mezz Rep can explain it better!

The best one i come too find out is my shooting cue ... Don't know why but ever Break cue i had just don't feel like me shooting cue....

I'm Loving my Pechauer Break Cue...

And I really Love my Pechauer Jump Cue...

Lomax

I have to say I really love the way this Lomax break cue works for me.

Mezz PB2! tried it and was blown away... sold my Pred same day and have been carrying a mezz since 2009

break cue

I used to break with a Predator, then I got the Mezz PB DI II, and wow, that thing hits like a ton of bricks, people even ask when I break , what the heck kinda break cue is that. I recently just picked up a Lomax break cue, and Im pretty impressed with it, now Im back and forth between breakers. But I think because of the mezz being 54", it stays a little more rigid under the impact. Oh yea, I retired the predator.
