As many of you know, the Vitter likes to gamble for very high stakes. He won't play someone like me for a couple of hundred or a thousand or two, but he will play for $200-300k.
Think of a pool tournament that paid $100k. How much money could someone like Vitter put into a tournament? Poker needs an outlet know to spread their gaming. No more Internet since the frigging congress people only care about their businesses getting them money.
There are a lot of poker players that have a pile of cash. Poker stars, those types of organizations are owned by poker players. Someone who knows these people could get them to start sponsoring tournaments and getting some health payouts going. Poker players think nothing of putting up $50k for a tournament.
As long as I have been around pool, there still is no large payouts for tournaments. The BIG tournament in Cal Billiards while it was a success, the payouts were still nothing. These guys who play at the top levels need to get paid for their top 1% talent in the world, just like a baseball player, golfer, etc. I am not saying 20million a year, but as the most talented in their sport, they get peanuts. Even the US Open one pocket in Las Vegas, nothing. Comparatively.
Anyway, that's what I have to say about it.:yikes::thumbup2:
