Kamui Chalk on Ebay. $76.00 and climing!

The auction had an opening bid of $25. The first guy to bid put in 26, which showed as 25 until the second guy bid 50, which then showed as 27, so the first guy started bidding in small increments, bidding 29 which pushed the 50 proxy to 30. trying 31 which pushed it to 32. The minute the first guy is getting his bid in he's being told that he is out bid (all the way to the 50 the second guy put in which eBay is holding as proxy and parceling out as necessary to beat the underbidder).

In my auction the current high bidder but his bid in at 4AM (this morning) and ever since then bidders have been chipping away trying to outbid him, and driving more and more of his proxy out. Who knows what he has in there? I hope we find out. When he put his bid in at 4AM, the current high bidder had 1500 bid, so even if the new current high bidder has a million bucks bid (hope he does) all eBay "used" at that time was 1600. As the bids come in, until his proxy is exceed, eBay will use his proxy 100 at a time.

How long has it been out????
It's just like the PS3, X-Box 360, IPhone, Tickle Me Elmo....etc. Give it a while and it will be the same price as the stuff on top of them 55 gallon barrels at the APA nationals. For those who dont know, I think we got 100 cubes once and paid $0. I doubt it will drop down less than Blue Diamond but im sure ya'll get the picture.

Well guys i can tell you that there is no difference in the chaulk to me when it comes to leaving it behind
as after out playing last night i came home and figured out that someone at the bar was going to be enjoying my kamuai chaulk as i seemed to have forgotten it there. I did like the way it went on and i can say that in the last three times out playing i have yet to have a miscue can't say for sure if its the chaulk or not but i guess i will continue to use it. So my advice is why not try it and see for yourself some may like it and others my stick with what they have enjoyed playing with over the years...jeff

As noted in previous threads and useless arguments, I am a huge adversary against the Kamui chalk epidemic. I am so against it that I will no longer use any of their products even though I did absolutely love the Kamui Black M tips.
Have I used the chalk?
Yes. The texture is very similar to Balabushka's chalk which I tried about ten years ago. It has a much softer feel when being applied and stayed on the tip well. However, I did not see any profound difference between my ability to apply extreme english.
Ultimately, Everything product is worth a try and is open to debate between the people using it.
I chalk often... I chalk well.. And the only person who is to blame if I screw the pooch... myself.
As a final side note, please read this page (Kamui Japan) and let me know what their marketing department added after negative feedback from their customers about the price of Kamui chalk. Hilarious!

I can tell you guys this I have 2 of the Kamui chalk signed and # from John Bertone along with the letter he sent with the chalk. How much do you think they will go for they are #699 & #700. Thanks Dave
