AIMING VOODOO - detailed pdf

I know it seems really strange but its not as mechanical as it seems. If you think of it as if you're a robot, you're making it hard for yourself. You can simply line up on the edge to edge line while standing up then drop down to centerball and should be fine. When you over think it, it makes it harder than it needs to be.

Play around with it and find what works for you.

Andrew,

Thank you so much for this post. I PM'd you on this topic yesterday and then you post one of the answers today. Cool. I have been testing the waters of this system for a few weeks now and the aiming part is right on. I would even go so far as to say that a couple shots could incorporate the fractional aiming system using 1/4 ball vs Edge or Center on OB. Where I had a hard time was getting any kind of rythm when integrating the bridge hand on the table pivot. I must have really looked strange in the last few tournaments. Mine was a very mechanical, robotic pivot. I made a lot of shots but it felt very awkward. I later went home and practiced and noticed that if I stood back, got on the aim line, saw the shot, then dropped down to center ball, I was right on most of the time, unless of course I picked the wrong aim point. I could then BHE a little english from center if needed. This worked really well. I had asked someone about the table pivot and the reasoning for this was to reproduce the same set of actions going into the shot each time and that over time you would feel comfortable pivoting in the air. I think this feels much better but the pivot seems really slight with this manner if any. Thank you again, you have made at least one person's game change for the better. Much appreciated......

I'm glad its helping you as it's helping me. I think you are getting it.. it just takes time to work with it and it becomes very easy. I got your PM, sorry I didn't respond yet. I have got so many PMs similar to yours since I started putting this info out there. I must have had over 100 people telling me how its helped them. I'm glad it's helping people. I'm glad it helped me. For all of that hate and negativity out there, it gets discouraging to even comment about it in public. Its almost not worth my time. But with all of the people that have thanked me for the info and told me how its helped them, it makes it worth it.

Great Post.

I'm gonna print it out and take it to the table tomorrow. It's like having the maestro himself, but on paper.

Some of the things you've written are some of the same observations i've made myself.

In particular, i've noticed that if the cue ball-object ball distance is less than a diamond, you really have to change your Obj. Ball aim point.

Normally it's edge to edge, pivot to center and fire away. But i've found that when the CB/OB distance is ~1 diamond or 1/2 a diamond, you aim CB edge to OB center, and then pivot to center.

Thanks for clearing that up especially the highlighted part. Just keep it simple.

Cleary, its good info and I am glad its getting out and people are not only trying it but using it.

Also, you don't have to email the PDF, I followed the posts to a link that allowed me to download. Can't wait to take it to the table and fine tune some things....Thank you again so much! John

If people want to check it out, here's the link:

And more information (including illustrations and a video demo) can be found on the 90-90 resource page.
It would be nice if you gave credit to Ron Vitello for your 90-90 resource page. It's his system. Maybe, "Ron Vitello's 90-90 System"
Good idea. FYI, I just added the following sentence at the top of the 90/90 resource page:
90/90 is an align-and-pivot aiming system developed by Ron Vitello.

Thanks,
Dave
