Pool Action in LA Sucks, here is one day last week...

True. Happy is a state of mind.

Also, how you make your money has something to do with the satisfaction you have in your acheivements.

If you fleece people out of money in a scam, chances are your Good Karma bank account is low and your unhappiness is well deserved.

If you work hard to earn your money in a respectable kind of way your satisfaction level is good and your happiness will follow...

You think?

I think you are happy if you choose to be.

I think its what ever you think it is, if you think is karmic justice, then its about karmic justice. If you think its about fate, then its about fate, if you think its about luck, then its about luck.

If you think its about choice, then its about choice.

BTW, you are the only guy on this board that has ever red repped me.

Thanks

Kevin

When did I red rep you?

I just green repped you. So I doubt I ever red repped you since you can't multi-rep someone.

Thanks for the rep I appreciate it. I didn't mind it when you red repped me, it had almost no effect on a thing I have no real interest in. I did think it was noteworthy that out of 3K+ posts I've made and all the members here, you were the only one felt motivated to neg rep me, so I mentioned it. You don't have to go into denial and false "proofs", its not that important.

Thanks

Kevin,
Sounds like you are holding a grudge over red rep. I green repped you here bc you brought it up and I actually agree with most of your posts and comments in this thread. I honestly don't remember red repping you in the past.

Would you mind telling me:
1.) What thread was it about?
2.) How long ago was it?

You must have said something that struck a cord. Also, when I first signed up in 2007 it was the first time to ever join a chat board so I didn't really understand how to serve out reps. So I might have went a little too heavy on red rep and for that I am sorry.

Regards,
Mark

Seeing FatBoy2 has made his betting frustrations public, I'll post my "take".

If you have $15 bucks in your pocket, $10 bucks at home and nothing in the bank, playing nine ball for $5 bucks a game is probably quite a thrill, the difference between winning and losing is important. If you have more, then you have to bet more to have it feel like its meaningful.

Some people bet strictly to make money, some people bet for the excitement. FatBoy2 refers to flipping a coin as a thing he'll do, so its clearly about the juice for him, the excitement, not as a wage earning venture.

FatBoy2 has a lot of money, because of that, he can't get the same juice that a guy with lesser money will get from cheap sets, so he has to bet higher or there's no excitement.

FatBoy2 thinks Casinos (where most guys looking for action with his kind of dough go to get juiced up) is a sucker bet, so he can't get his juice there.
FatBoy2 loves pool so he's seeking to get his juice betting pool (it is at least considered to be a game people like to bet on). There are very few guys with FatBoy2's dough that play pool, so FatBoy2 is probably going to always be frustrated by this and either forced too play sets to small to excite him, or end up playing against corporations formed by people that are looking to earn a wage by taking him off, or seek some other method of getting his jollies. Which, by the way, seems to me just what he said in his OP.

Thanks

Kevin

Man, I can't believe I ever red repped you. That's the most profound post I have ever seen.

I'm not holding a grudge. I feel exactly about it the way I said I did. I've been here some number of years, made over 3000 posts to all sorts of members and you are the only one that went to the trouble to red rep me, so I remembered it. I think the parameters fit the exact definition of noteworthy. I found it noteworthy and made note of it.

You have simultaneously said you didn't think you did it, made and excuse for doing it, and apologized for doing it. I'd say you have all bases covered there pretty good. Please lets drop the matter, like I said its not important to me now and it wasn't then, for example, I didn't "retaliate".

Thanks again

Kevin

Kevin:

Bite me!!

I said I did not remember red repping you and I don't.

I am curious what it was about since you brought it up.

Based you your style I can see why you and I would clash.

Mark

I can live with that. I will. of course, give due consideration to changing my style so as not to clash with you.

Thanks

Kevin,

Thank you for the response. Having looked through dozens of your posts in the last 45 minutes (trying to find the one that precipitated the red rep incident) I re-discovered that you seam to be slightly self-righteous in most of what you say and sarcastic in many instances.

Cheers,
Mark

Can you talk via pm? You are OT and also it is totally uninteresting. Nothing against you.

Couple that with the fact that I have made the most profound post you have ever read on AZ (unless you yourself were actually being sarcastic)
and one again, all the bases are covered.

Thanks a ton for the personality critique and rest assured I will give your thoughts about me all the consideration they deserve.

So to recap:

1) you don't remember red repping me
2) you didn't red rep me
3) you had an excuse for repping me
4) you are sorry you red repped me
and now
5) I deserved it

Thanks again

Kevin

I agree and apologize. Kevin brought up me red repping him from the past. I don't remember doing it.

I'm gonna red rep you both and I'm not making any apologies or excuses!
Just kidding , I don't know if I've ever red rep'd anyone. Anyway, give it a break. Your little debate is getting old. Now you can both red rep me . Like I give a hairy rats ass.

Let's get back to discussing Fatboy's finances. That's far more interesting. I often have dreams of wheel barrels full of money, but when I wake up there's only a little tin cup by my bed with some loose change in it. What do you think my problem is oh great gurus? :help:

I'll tell you Jay. I know someone who knows someone that has a crystal ball.

Put up some money for a respectable pool tournament say 5 to 10k and then be sure that you name it after yourself (something catchy, like FATBOY challenge), and then have the best players in the world play in it, and just to add that extra element of fun to the broadcast, play in it yourself. Oh be sure to complain several times that you had a good chance to run out the one rack you were at the table on, but you were hooked. Ohhhh, and don't forget to cry that you're broke, the crying broke is a really important part.

Oh wait, that's already been done.

Just keep running tournaments and winning cheese playing bumps Jay, I like your end doing both.

The crystal ball is out of time, it says insert quarter and all I have is pennies.

Why not just red rep him back and end it there? :)

If he wants to get his juices going, I don't see why he doesn't back SVB in the asia or filipines for hundreds of thousands.

With his finances, TAR could come along and one could just imagine the massive spectacle this could bring over there if it was say efren vs shane or alex vs shane.

I don't understand why he won't stake someone. Hell he could make a profit on an event like this.

Why would a smart bettor not back pool players?

Gosh, can't think of a single reason.

Thanks

Kevin

Oh wait, here's one (that doesn't start with "dump") - maybe he gets his juice from betting on himself? There are some guys like that.

OK sorry for the brief distraction. Lets return this thread to telling FatBoy2 what's wrong with him and how he can be more like us.

Jay named it.
Not me.

since you seem so interested in counting my $$$, would you like me to get you a pass word so you can look at my bank accounts, and I can get you my tax returns as well. Then you can count my $$ with facts and not guess. Not like you have other shit to do.

Everyone I know with more $$$ than me all have one similar trait, none of them count other peoples $$$, they count their own. I model myself after them, I dont belittle them. Think rich get rich. Thats what I did. Jealousy is a path to poverty. I admire those who do better than me and i look to see how I can tighten up my game to be like them. I dont count their $$, If they say what they spent on something I might remember it, but its not my biz.

Another thing with the wealthy people iI know is they are positive minded, in all aspects of life(most of the time). they are into personal growth, learning, and dont knock others.

you dont know about this, its clear in all of your posts.

I heard a song the other day the hook in in it was this:

"you go do what you have to do, were gonna do what we want to do"

I like that line, there are a few more I know:

"If your so smart, how come you aint rich"

I will say this all the guys I know who are 9 figures or bigger are smarter than me. Period. There is a connection between brains and $$$, unless you inherit it(then you can be dumb as a box of rocks). The guys I know who made it big are all triple smart.

The line that got me over the issue's you have(I was like you once long ago, bitter as hell about things), the all time best line:

"In order for you to have things you never had before, you must do things you never done before"

That right there schooled my ass, I changed my attitude about everything, went from negative to positive. from fat to almost skinny(I had 4 abs) and from broke to not broke. from no girl to a great girl. VW Van to what ever I wanted.

just sayin'

later
