Always have to wear clean undies in case you get into an accident.
Didn't Mom tell you that?

That made me smile at the memory.
Did EVERYBODY have a mother that said that?

Wasn't allowed to send you a greenie....maybe I should send you green underwear.:D

I've read all of this thread and havn't seen any comments made by Eric to another that were out of line. Doesn't hurt to let a man vent alittle. No need to dissect everything he writes. IMHO

I think people are mad at FatBoy and his twin, FatBoy2, because he has money and has been lately posting that he is unhappy. The gist of much of the bashing seems to be that if FatBoy2 has money (which he does, in wheelbarrows stretching to the East coast and back) that he should be happy. I've seen several posts where people have taken the time to point out to Fatboy2 that he has no right to be unhappy because lots of people have it worse them him. Which of course, begs the question if those people that have it worse them him have a right to be unhappy because there are also lots of people worse off than them.

Happiness or unhappiness is a state of mind, brothers, and if you'll think a bit to the rich people you know, it may be clear that what the priest said from the pulpit all those years ago was true, money does not buy happiness.

I know there are plenty of miserable folks that figure if they just has 1/10 of FatBoy2's money, they'd be suddenly happy, but its just not true, they'd just be unhappy in better cars and clothes and houses.

People get what they want. They make the shots they aim for. Want to be happy? Make your goal happiness. Aim for it, plan on it, fake it until you make it. Stop avoiding it by saying you will be happy when you have some dough. You'll be happy when you want to be happy.

That is all

Thanks

The difference in your statements is now and then. He does it all the time. And uses his money or lackthereof as a tool against people.

He says he doesn't stake people ok, he says that people want to play too cheap for him (he's just not looking in the right places). Are you seriously looking to play a 25M set? I know, u crave attention. You've got nice cars, nice watches , you have at last count 237 friends (based on your posts where you say he's a good friend etc counting each post where you say that as 1 (I did not apply duplicate credit where you call someone your friend moren than once

The issue is you don't want to play for common people money. As the other poster said, you want to just like dippy does. Think money brings entitlement. Newsflash there are more of us everyday working people than there are of you.

You got no problem getting played in most pool halls across the USA. Especially at your speed. Your issue is there aren't enough people to play your 300k games

There are 5k and 10k sets for you all across the country, you just don't want to play them.

Well said Jason. I go off now and then myself.

If u honestly think its because of his perceived money then while I can't speak for everyone, just the responses through PM and myself I'll say you are a bit off base.

Your hyperbole about the money isn't suited to him. I'd go with a buffet, soros, gates. Not him

And before the na na na na boo boo I have more money than you starts, I will
Concur and stipulate that he and or probably u both have more than I do.

I have nothing against anybody having money.

When all someone talks about is money, there is something wrong with that person.

I have much less money than a lot of people (a lot more than a lot, also), but I have happiness and contentment that most don't have.

As for this thread, in particular, FB just sounds bitter about a game he should be playing (or watching, or betting on) for fun. If $20-$200 action isn't big enough, then it is his problem with gambling (get help), not the people who are playing for it. If someone needs to lose for FB to be happy, that again is his problem and not something that is wrong with people or our game.

That is the crux of what is wrong with threads like this. Somebody is unhappy so he insults all pool players. A game doesn't go to expectation so he says that something is wrong with the game. FB (and others) need to look into themselves and figure out what is wrong there before they point the finger.

dld

Well I quite agree that when we point a finger there are 4 more pointing right back at us. And while we are on the subject of finger-pointing, I guess I have to ask, because it seems to me you are pointing your finger at FatBoy2 plenty:

"there is something wrong with that person."

"his problem with gambling (get help)"

"again is his problem"

"FB (and others) need to look into themselves and figure out what is wrong there before they point the finger."

you know, in a way, you are doing the same thing to him, that you accuse him of doing to others.

Just sayin

Thanks

The economy is terrible, and the average American is struggling just to tread water and break even.
Excuse us if we aren't feeling froggy at the moment, most of us are just trying to get by and pay our rents. I can't speak for any pool players who have lots of extra cash to gamble with, but seeing as how the disparity in income is widening nationwide, I would imagine that more and more of them are finding themselves on the poorer end of the income spectrum.

I'm not trying to be one of them whiny liberals who has it out for all rich people, but sometimes you successful guys really have to think about your position in relation to the positions of those that you're addressing-- you oftentimes come off as the whiny ones without having good reason to be so.

Also, i'm not saying that action doesn't suck, because it does... but I think there are some pretty legitimate causes for pool action's current state... hopefully when the economy picks up then you will get the action that you so desire. :)

Yes, what he said FatBoy....we all ain't rich like you!!!

I'm with FatBoy2. The porn star action in LA sucks too.

Its used to be, back in the 70s and 80s, I could walk into any bar in North Hollywood or Chatsworth with some blow and have some porn star chick back at my pad with a straw in her nose and something else in her mouth in under 30 minutes.

Now they just look at me like I'm some old perv.

Sucks, it used to be better.

Kevin

Yes, what ever happened to the good old days.....now all that's left is are the washed up Cougar's walking up and down Remmet Ave in Canoga Park....

When I point at you, I carry my pointing hand in close, that's the way I roll, so the thumb is pointing right at my chin.

Different strokes.....

True. Happy is a state of mind.

Also, how you make your money has something to do with the satisfaction you have in your acheivements.

If you fleece people out of money in a scam, chances are your Good Karma bank account is low and your unhappiness is well deserved.

If you work hard to earn your money in a respectable kind of way your satisfaction level is good and your happiness will follow...
