I think the answer to that question is a pretty simple one:

Too Much

Earl is a genius with a cue in his hand, but like many other sporting genius he seems to have a fatal flaw that occasionally raises it's ugly head. Some that come to mind are John McEnroe and lie Nastase (Tennis) George Best and Diego Maradonna (soccer), Alex Higgins and Ronnie o'Sullivan (snooker), Football, Baseball and Hockey far too many to even consider picking out just a couple. You sadly have to admit they make things interesting though everyone's waiting for that blow up!
