You can probably jump on BTS easily enough (?) and go east toward "bearing," exit bts at asok and there is a room called "the players." There are at least 2 or 3 more pool halls in that immediate vicinity (anybody in players would let you know where), but players was my favorite.
Hi,
There are a lot of pool halls on Sukhumvit road. If you exit Asok, take the exit towards the Time Square building and in the basement of the Times Square building you will find Hustlers pool hall, which is one of the nicer ones in town. If you exit the opposite direction, but same side of the street, and walk down a few blocks you will see an alley on your right and Players Pool hall is down that alley. Its a little harder to find, but they have signs posted on the alley wall where it meets the sidewalk. There is also the Ball in Hand on Soi 4. If you go down past all the girlie bars you will see a 7 Eleven on the right. Turn right at the 7 Eleven and you will see signs for the Ball in Hand on your right. Its on the second floor, but they usually have a kiosk out front of the stairway.
There are a few other rooms too, but its hard to explain how to get there. I'd have to show you, but I don't live in Bangkok anymore
Try to PM ThaiTom or Cuaba. If they have time to meet you up Im sure they would show you a few places!
Let me know if you have anymore questions!
Thank you so much for the information.
I guess I should be shooting pool at either 1 of these 3 suggested places.
Are the house cues there decent?
Do I need to bring my own play cue there?

Hey, guys
I was able to drop by Hustlers Bangkok last night as I guess it was easier to find since there were directions from the Asoke BTS station to get to Times Square.
The place is pretty nice with Brunswick tables fitted with Simonis cloth and Aramith TV balls.
There were some stickers on a table which said that the table was used in the final for the Bangkok stop of the San Miguel Asia 9 ball tour.
House cues were fibreglass coated maple cues.
I brought my Willard tip shaper to shape the tip as I sort of expected house cues not to have nicely shaped tips.
I guess the place might be a bit too expensive for the locals since the place was filled with foreigners rather than locals.
I had some fun shooting, had 2 beers, spent around 600 baht at the place.
I wanted to find Players since I thought that it was in the same area but I sort of lost my bearings a bit. Perhaps I will try to find it tomorrow night.
Thanks for the advice so far, I really appreciate it.
Will try to give more updates if I manage to find another pool hall here.
Remember as you are traveling east from chit lom that players is on the south side of sukhumvit. when you're new in bkk, try to remember which direction you were going on the bts train. so that will narrow it down
also remember that players is under (or at least very near) the actual asoke bts station (ie where people get on and off), and there is a neon sign for it. you have to go back about 30 meters into a little alley, it is NOT right on the suk. hope that narrows it down enough (bkk isn't easy for directions i know).
there should be some thai players in there. good luck![]()
Thanks for the directions.
BKK is not easy to ask directions indeed, because of the language barrier.
Now that I have a better sense of the places around the Asoke station, I think I will try to go to Players tomorrow night.
Will try to give some updates(hopefully).![]()

Here is a nice video of Bangkok pool that was just posted on youtube.
I'm in it, as is Thaitom and Monto P2.

I will be in Bangkok from 7 april to 10 april, staying near Ploenchit BTS.
was wondering if the pool halls which I have visited the last time are still there.
Is there someone in Bangkok who can give advice?
Thanks.
