Is there such a thing? I'm reading the ad for the Cuetec R360, and Shane's testimony, and he says that he has better feel, control, and aiming system. I'm 99.999% sure this is sales hype, but in the small chance that it's not, what could he possibly be talking about?

Marketing at its finest. The aiming system is in Shane's head and eyes.
Buying a cue a pro plays with will NOT make you a pro player. The cue doesn't play the game you the player do that.
If people would spend half the money and time they spend on new gear on practice and instruction they would play much better.
This of course is my opinion, there are thousands who obviously would rather chase a dream by buying a new cue, new shaft, new chalk etc. than to put in the time and effort to better their game.
That said, if you have the means and want it, buy it. Spending makes the world go round.
Obviously just because SVB started playing with a Cuetec doesn't mean that - boom - they became a premier maker overnight. But the endorsement, especially from Shane, does suggest they make decent cues, at least in terms of the line Shane plays. Shane's endorsement has value in that regard. While before most serious players would not even consider a Cuetec, now if I was looking for a car trunk cue or bar beater some would maybe consider it. It certainly gives them more credibility than they had before. Shane does have the image of a straight forward guy, not that of a huckster.

No one is saying Shane is a huckster that I see, some are just taking question with the marketing spin "language" they are using to sell the cues.
As I understand the OP's post it was regarding the Cuetec's "Aiming System" and I believe the concept that the cue has some aiming system is pure bunk or marketing if you will. There are literally millions of people who will believe anything they read, that's how companies justify spending so much on advertising and endorsements for star athletes and celebrities. Again, just my opinion on the subject.
Have to give credit to Cuetec's marketing department for realizing that if you mention the term "aiming system" it will attract some players like moths to a flame. :grin:

Mole Eye...I know one person who will...SVB...however, he's being paid a handsome sum to do just that! 
Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with playing with a Cuetec...but, as mentioned, it won't make your pool game any better...or worse!

I have heard that there really is an aiming system built into some cues. The problem is that you have to keep fresh batteries in the cue. Don't buy the one with the rechargeable batteries. They don't last. The batteries are hard to get and you must buy them from the maker of the cue. Each cue requires a special battery at a cost of $5000 per battery.
The cue is called "Don't understand my basic aiming special system", or dumbass for short.
