WOW he played it like that too,u can see how Mitch was lining it up ,before he shot, very well thought out shot, that worked, pretty!

I'm pretty terrible at all things pool but really enjoy learning one pocket. To me, it was an awesome shot but if that ball doesn't fall, it will almost certainly bank back to Ike's side of the table and sell the whole game out. Am I wrong? Is this the "right" shot only because it worked?

That's Amanda on the background .. tall, hawt and sweet gal who works at CBC.

Lenny, I just ordered the whole set.

This is totally the wrong shot.... (if he was trying to make the ball)

The only reason its "good" is because it went in, but really, I think Mitch was trying to clear both balls not make the ball.

There are about 10 things that could go wrong there and if anything good happens, you are still not guaranteed to win the game.

I don't think that is the right shot. From the videos I've seen, Mitch is hyper aggressive (maybe a little of that Freezer rubbing off). Like Wheeler said, I would bet he was trying to knock both balls away. He would probably know better than me, I've heard he can hit em a little.

I understand people say, "It's the Wrong Shot", but I've seen him make crazy things like this so many times its ridiculous.

Hence we gave him the nickname, "The Wonderboy".

Plus he practices shots like this all the time.

Was it the correct shot?

To him it was because he saw it!!!

No one knows what YOU know better than you do.

The table is the perfect rectangle.

The balls are perfectly round and as we can see, he made the shot because the shot was there!!!

No one knows what he knows better than him.

I think what Adam is saying is that the shot was the wrong shot and that it's a very low percentage shot.

Its only a low percentage shot if you don't know how to make it. What if this is the kind of shot that practices all the time. I routinely practice 2 balls spotted and CB behind the line one pocket shots made by Sonny Springer diagramed on Onepocket.org and I shoot these shots like they are hangers.

Wake up people! He shit the ball in. Got a GOOD double kiss.
Thanks for posting it was fun to watch some one crap one in against
someone other then me!

I shoot the exact same shot you are talking about in tournaments or otherwise also, but you're way off base if you're thinking someone can set up that exact position with the cue ball, distance from each ball etc. and be something that a person is confident in making.

I think it would have been a stronger shot if the first ball banked end-rail, end-rail and back to his pocket. He missed that part by a lot. I think a fuller hit would also have gotten less speed into the second ball, which would have been better for safe.

It doesn't look like the end rail to end rail to the pocket was possible from the angle he had, he barely missed the double kiss by overcutting it as much as he did so he could get the 2 rail carom which is what he lined up to do and executed perfectly.

Wrong on both counts. He lined up the carom exactly as it came out he pointed to where the cue ball was going to go and put his stick down at the angle the cueball was going to come into the ball he made. Also, there was no double kiss.

Its not the 'wrong' shot for more than just two reasons. First he made the ball and second, he didn't sell out the cross corner. The wrong shot is when you sell out. I will be practicing this shot and when I make it to collect the cheeseburgers, you can say it was the wrong shot all day long.

I think that if he hits the object ball fuller -- and it's not that much fuller -- the cue ball will be going slower, the object ball faster, and there will be less chance of a kiss. Also, since the cue ball snap out of the corner depends on how much follow and side spin it has, the angle to the second object ball can be adjusted, if necessary.

Unfortunately, we can't repeat the exact shot.

Mitch is the man.

Edit: wait, how the heck did he "sh1t" that ball in? He looks at it and even measures the rail...? It looks like that was what he was going for, or did I miss something?
