Congrats Shane on a great win. I don't know how you do it w/o a custom cue and $25 chalk. Johnnyt

His cue isn't customized?

Certainly Cuetec made it to his spec but they then started a line. I believe you can buy the same cue as SVB plays with. Whether his cue is actually a handmade one-off and the rest are mass produced, I'm not sure, but I don't think so.

who would want to buy the same cue that SVB plays with? Its a piece of junk. I wouldn't play with one if they gave it to me for free.

Have you ever even hit with the r360 or are you basing your comment on the old cuetecs? That peice of junk hasn't seemed to hinder Shane from raking in some pretty big bucks this year.

Shane's the best pool player in America imo. i also like Alex, but...please Alex, lose the drunken fool act.

Hard to argue with that. Shane has been playing great this year. He seems to be a step ahead of Archer, Deuel, Morris (although I'd like to see them match up), Dechaine, Hatch, Earl (too inconsistent at this stage of his career), etc.

Alex P. is Canadian or Filipino, correct?

Shane could probably win these tournaments with my basic $140 Dufferin.

Id really like to see Shane and Orcullo match up, IMO they are the two best players in the world right now. Although Shane and Alex isnt a bad matchup either:thumbup:

Shane has been on the Mosconi cup these past few years...

either way..Huge congrats to SVB!!!

Makes me want to buy a cuetec and play with a pool glove=)

Pretty sure you could give SVB a broken broom handle and he would find a way to win. At his level its more the shooter than the cue... :D

One clue - it's all about the shaft and tip. Once you get that sorted out, a player like Shane could play with any halfway decent butt.

Shane

I agree with jay and think that applies to most players. Got a good look at the shaft on shanes cue and that ain't a stock shaft other than maybe the wood. Due to many different preferences of shaft size and taper I doubt many top players use a cue shaft that has not been adjusted some to their style and feel of play.
