not bad for 20 years old....it could use a new wrap and finish job....but i am just going to keep it this way....this is probley the shape it would be in if i still had it from 20 years ago and abuse for the rec center....lol....ps on my way to a tourny to have a JEFF DUD PUT ON IT..glad i had one left jeff..lol..i really am going to play with it...

Glad you found one. Being an old McD, I am sure it shoots great too.

I'm sure glad I still have my first.

Good story Mickey I had a red Viking almost identical to that cue that was my first one. I hope it shoots good and nice to see you found one..

Not bad at all Mickey. You could call it the ''GREEN MACHINE'' throw a dud on that baby and go to town.
Glad you found your old cue sir. A trip down memory lane. Take care & let me know when your DUD package arrives.
Jeff

a buddy of mine named it the green goblin....lol....a pretty good player hit some with it and said damn it plays pretty good....its like i am 18 again when i see it....just funny stuff....dud is going on after i have a new ferrule put on it for sure.....

haha..my first brand name cue was a blue medermott with a light baby blue rack lol I swear they had some strange color combo's back then.

glad you found it. i have a similiar story and am currently looking for a cue. wish me luck.

Yeah...I like a good love story...it's kinda like finding your high school "crush" on Facebook after 20 years...meeting up again and getting married... :p

I still have my "original" player...an Orchid...sitting in a case...needs a refinish...needs the buttcap fixed...needs a new wrap...needs a new shaft...should probably just be taken out into the back yard and shot to put it out of its misery...but I don't have the heart...so, it'll continue to stay tucked away safe in the case...:embarrassed2:

Jason

Not as "fancy" as your cue, Mickey, but this is my first one.

Cool that you found what you were lookin for. That cue just begs to have a kawasaki sticker on it, love that green.

Hey Mickey,

I'm glad you found your tooth... :p

My first cue was a gray stained BEM McDermott. It played great. I donated the cue to a friend who couldn't afford to buy his own. He turned out to be a lyin' piece of $hit. Wish I still had it...

Take care,
Chris

Great story. First cue I ever bought was a 1980 McDermot C-3. Still straight, still play with it. Here it is:
