My wife hates it. My boyfriend thanks I should spend more time with him and my girlfriend dosen't care as long as the sex is good!

Wish I had more time to play pool!

I was actually just thinking about that this morning and was gonna post a thread, no lie. My soon to be wife actually loves that I play pool. She really does. The thing that I love about it the most is that she can see the progress I've made and comments on it all the time. I definitely think it's a great thing when your significant other supports your pool obsession. My mom was supportive of my dad too. He would go on the road for long periods of time when I was young and she always supported him doing what he loved. Was it easy for her to take care of the kids while he was gone? No, but she was strong and did it and I think my dad really appreciated that about her. I'm sure it's not like that for everybody but I say if you find someone that is supportive, keep em.

My wife barely tolerates it. Funny thing is, it was her idea for me to start playing league. Guess she thought it would just be a night out, not morph into an obsession. :)

last gf i had, hates that i play and am obsessed. new gf thinks its great that i have some sort of passion for something.. i like new gf better... so good solution for people. if they dont like it, tell them to hit the road, and find someone that does like it hahah.. i dont think my new gf knows how much time i spend at the hall.. o well time to find out if she is a keeper.

...and wishes I got the chance to play a little more, and work a little less. You couldn't ask for more than that. We went to Vegas for the U.S. Open 1 Pkt once and had a blast. We've got eye on DCC next:)

I had quit playing pool for 10 yrs, I was hitting the night clubs living the single life chasing women, well I caught my now wife of 2 yrs(been together 7) she had some friends wanting her too play apa so she talked me in too playing, we've been playing about 5yrs now. She was a 1 at start but is super competitive. She is now a 4 that everyone hates too play (I have to match her on someone cause if I put her up they play a higher rank on her) starting this last session she plays our Sunday 9 ball, 2 teams 8/9 2 diff bars on tues, 8b on wed an women's league once a month. Said she's going too be playing me even (sl8) oh yeah she can't stand it if I call a timeout

:-)

My wife of 32 years has NEVER seen me play pool! She has zero interest in pool but really supports the enjoyment I get from playing pool. She has no problem letting me out of the house to play and I am beginning to wonder what the hell is going on when I am not home!! Maybe I better forget something some night and head back to the house!!!!

Enjoy it while it lasts, once 1st child is born, your pool time will be cut in half, and when 2nd child is born, you can kiss pool goodbye. Sorry.

I've been married 10 years now and my wife has never said anything to me about playing. In fact, she's even told me to get out the house and go to the poolroom! Lol, don't know if that's good or bad!:D

LoL I can corroborate everything posted here :)
<<<<<<<Sees it every Sunday.

My fiancee' is neutral I suppose. She supports me and asks how I played, but also thinks I'm mental about pool.

She doesn't get how I can be at a pool hall for 8 hours, or more. Heck I can do that just watching pool if the match ups are good. Then again she couldn't wrap her head around how I could cast a lure into a lake over and over again for 8-12 hours either when I was bass fishing. She certainly couldn't figure out how I could cast a line and sit there for 8-12 hours catfishing either.

When I focus on something I can do it for hours without thinking about how long I've been there. I remember being on a streak at a blackjack table and spending 12 hours in the seat playing hands without getting up to go to the bathroom.

Pool

I am fortunate in the fact that my wife plays too, better than me at times as well. She has come a long way and being here in Okinawa will only help her game.

my wife of 46 yrs sometiimes makes me go play, whether i want to or not, just to get me out of her sight!

who cares what she thinks anyways.....jk

my fiance loves the fact that in the summer i'll pound out over 140 rounds of golf and in the winter spend all my time in the poolhall.

she says it's better that i'm occupied rather than chasing skirts or doing drugs, casino gamble-aholic, etc.

Cool as long as I played well

I had quit playing a year or so before meeting my ex. Once in awhile we found ourselves somewhere that had pool tables and naturally I'd bang balls around. When she found out that I always won even when playing someone she thought of as a pro she thought it was pretty cool that I played pool. Of course winning against most bar level competition ain't impressive but she didn't know that!

My girlfriend hates it because it takes me away from her. Shes the keeper, so I will probably have to stop playing until we get our own house and pool table. When that happens I'll probably be allowed to play a few hours a week, haha.

I might want to start exploring other hobbies that involve her interests. :)

I was a pool player before we met and she was dating another road player. I think she "gets" it. ;)

Why go back and screw up a good night of playing pool? ;)
