Brandon is really playing well. He was third in the banks, is so far undefeated in the one pocket, and beat Orcullo in the first round of the 10 ball last night.

I think he has a really good chance to pick up the Master of the Table award if his play continues for the next three days. But, he'll have to place better than Shane who is also currently undefeated in the one hole.

Yes sir. Right now they are the 2 front runners. Efren is not far behind and hes still in the 1-hole, with a loss though

How old is Brandon ??

He's either 28 or 29. he's sure came a long way from me giving him the 5 and the break or 10-6 about 8 years ago. I can't beat him at rotation anymore and the one pocket hasn't been close for a couple years. He's a talented guy.

He has really come up, hasn't he?

I am sure witnessing your successes and work ethic was a significant factor in his finding the path, Mike. As they say, the fishtank theory.

But it isn't all jellies and kittens: Brandon is the worst funsies player ever:o

No doubt. Currently he should be tied for 3rd with Brumback. I may be a little off but the current results should be as follows:

Shane
Morra
Shuff/Brumback
Efren

This could change, but not by much depending on who wins the one pocket. If any of the listed players wins the one pocket it will be almost all but over for anyone else unless they place top 2 in the 9 ball.

according to accu-stats website, he is matching up with Shane at 11 in one pocket .. of course the stream doesn't appear to be working right now

That's a very humble statement coming from you. But Brandon has been playing consistently top level pool for the last few years. I'm always rooting for him because he's also a good guy and the only top level player I know personally. We used to be in the same league at First Break in Sterling a few years back and I still see him occasionally although I moved and don't go regularly to First Break anymore.

I'm hoping to stop by and watch some of the Action Pool Tour stop there March 17-18. Maybe I'll see you both there.

Shuff is doing the dance with SVB for sure. It's gonna be interesting to see the next round draw. SVB aint quite dead yet but fat lady is warming up. With only 6 players left I think they will be rematching.

Thats a very nice statement u made Mike, dont cut yourself short Mike, nobody has to beat you playing rotation,it was about maybe 10 easters ago u showed up in dundalk at running out billiards,u and cigar Tom Vanover were playing some 9ball i think 50 a set,u were not betting very high,Tom had no idea who u were,if you guys were playing for any big money i would of had to tell Vanover he was in a bad game,as we been friends for 30years,but anyhow when u guys finish up u were up a couple of sets,Tom goes behind the counter and i ask him to hand me the billiard digest mag,and there u were on the front cover, after winning reno,Tom looks at me and says i know who i was playing,i said yea rite TOm u had no idea, but both u guys played very good that day, especially Vanover for just losing 2 sets to a world champion or USA champion!

see next round draw. SVB aint quite dead yet ...

And I know of at least 1 other person who posted in this thread and is considered a rotation specialist that won a pretty big 1p tourney.
Mike- you got any idea who might've done that in NC?
