This has bothered me for the last 5 or so years. So I am hoping that venting here will cleanse my conscience.
Our APA team was in Money Cup. Before the match they have a break the 9 for $1000. Well luck would have it I did and collected the money. My team captain congratulated me and we proceeded to play in the money cup.... We lost the first round because only half of the team showed up. So later on that evening I get a phone call from the captain that asked that I bring the $1000 to the bar and give it to her so that they can divvy it up between the players on the team. I reluctantly did it because I was part of the team and it was a team event. The truly shizzy thing about it was it was given to people that I never met. They never showed up for league night and they certainly were not there for money cup, not to mention the others that did not show up for the tournament. So what was $1000 ended up being $125.
Is it right that I be upset about this? Should I be happy that I got 125 and move on? It still sits as a black mucky ball in my stomach! (Let's all assume that the captain gave everyone their share, I don't think I could bear the thought otherwise).
