My 3rd Balabushka Style Cue in Progress

As some of you saw I have one in blue and one in orange so I figured I would do one with green also. Enjoy. :smile:

Yes I am very fond of the big pin and phenolic joint for playability, not a fan of stainless if I am going to play with it and I believe that is all that was used on Bushkas. I also really like birdseye for the forearm and know George used pure straight grain maple on all of his that I know of. Thanks for the compliment.

George used Ivory joints on occasion as well. Very nice cue btw.

Thanks. I tried to look for ivory jointed cues by George but could not find any through a search of the Cue Gallery, must be pretty rare.

Pretty soon you're going to have a "Skittles" bag full of Bushkaesque cues!!! (Still like the blue one the best...but wouldn't kick any of them out of the wall rack though! )

I have always like the simplicity of the Martin cues.

I had the only ivory joint Balabushka
that I ever saw

it was piloted

I did hear that he made another one
in Memphis if I recall

The joint would be unique for a Bushka as was said.

What about the figured forearm? He always used straight grain didn't he?

Wow, thanks for sharing that. It looks great! I wonder how many total that were made with an ivory joint.
