SEVEN is the magic number!

I continue trying to register and it never works. I have completed all of the required fields, but still no go. Can you help me out?

I should post this in the other forums, too, but the problem is probably the password length. Apparently the system needs a password 7 characters in length. If you have a shorter password, it doesn't show the confirmation screen.

Seven is the magic number!

If you want to return the refund, then that's up to you. I just wanted to make sure I returned every cent that was paid in by subscribers since the magazine is now free.
so let's see where it leads. I believe the quality of the work you come out with deserves some beanies. Hope you'll get financial support from the readers, even slight so. Only a buck from 50 readers per issue makes it $50.

Donation Button...

Guys,

After some posts like this...

I wouldn't ask for a refund. You should at least have a Donate paypal button on your site.

That is a great point about the button. People should at least have a convenient option to put a few dollars in the pot if they want to. Hopefully advertising will make the magazine profitable but some don't like to get value without giving something back.Hu

Got my p/pal refund-uh-thanks. How do I send it back to you? Free costs something. The subscription price was more than fair.

Take my money---please.

Good luck with the magazine.

Take care....and go back to p/pal-and take my money, please. Other wise, I will spend it on 1/3 of a piece of chalk-that I will misplace or will get stolen.

I received my refund. My question is: Why? I signed up during the $10 bucks promo, and was delighted. The "mag" is wonderful, and totally worth the full $20 price tag. Josh

and some emails and PM's, I started to wonder if I was being a bit stubborn. It was my choice to make the magazine FREE, and I think this is the way to go. However after doing some research, I found a few other "FREE" mag sites that have a Donation button on their site, and they use that money to promote/produce their magazine as well.

I want to ask a serious question:

Will having the donation button on the site look cheesey, or like I'm going back on my word, or will it be a good thing to add, kind of like a "Tip Jar" where the proceeds are used for the magazine?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Add the "Donate" button! People can contribute if they like the mag; doesn't mean you are going back on your word. Free is free, and gratuity is for a nice product or good service.

"Club Membership" style?

Do the Donation Feature on your site like here, at Az..
and, make a page listing "Club Members" in your magazine..

Then, make a Monthly Feature page titled "Member's Cue of the Month".
You do a drawing every month...
The member that wins, can have their favorite "Prized" cue featured in the next month's Issue with a short story.
Brings a more personal touch to the Magazine..

I will donate too.

I don't think it will look cheesy at all

Great job with the magazine. I don't think a donate button would look cheesy at all, well maybe if you made it round, yellow, and a huge pop up!

It annoys me when I want to donate to a site and have to hunt all over the place for a donate button or e-mail someone to get the information. The first time I wanted to donate to AZB I had to contact MikeH. Now a paid membership is an easy way to donate when I'm in the mood.

One more thing, a very Happy Easter to you and your family!

Password issues...

My apologies for not setting this up sooner, but we have added a flag next to the password field when you sign up saying that the password needs to be at least 7 characters long. This should fix the (only) issue with the sign up process I know about.

Thanks again for your support guys!

Donation Button...

Just a heads up that the donation button has been implemented.

Thanks so much for the generosity of those that have already contributed, too! It is really appreciated, and 100% of the proceeds go to making the magazine even better.

Thanks again!
