This is an interesting conversion cue, I bought four cues on eBay around one year ago. According to the design, and the weight stamp they were made in late 1930's or the early 1940's. However, to this day I have never been able to identify the original manufacturer, two of the cues had the veneer's like the cue pictured and the other two had a different veneer color pattern. One thing all these cues had in common was that they were 56 1/2 inches long, all four had Ivory Ferrules, and they were very fat in the handle area.
The closest I have come to finding a similar veneer pattern was the veneer's used on the Ralph Greenleaf cues. It almost appears that whoever made the Greenleaf cues also most likely made these cues.

Let me know what you think.
