This Man has beaten some great players recently ,and won or placed very high in the last few tournaments that he has enterer,but remember he doesnt really play this good,after all he is just an ameture!

I have no idea what you really mean, or what you are trying to get at. Perhaps you will clarify (if you are being sarcastic, or tongue in cheek I'm not sure again what your point is).
Jeff is a great player. A men's "pro pool tour" does NOT exist in this country (at least one that could provide a living for any significant number of players) - in my view all pool players are amateurs and should just play wherever and whenever they can. I assure you he has a "day job."
Jeff's victories this year are substantial, and against some good players. Two thumbs up for someone who has a ton of heart - probably more than most of the players he has beaten.

I had the privilege of meeting Jeff recently in ND at the Four Bears event. I even got to do a little commentary with Jeff. Definitely a professional in my book.
I think the post was a reference to Charlie Williams letting Jeff play in his "amateur" event in Louisiana and not letting some other players play. Jeff was not at fault in that event and did what he supposed to do, win.

Jeff is just another California (San Diego version) shortstop who went East to find fortune and fame. Instead he found a wife (girl friend?), a job and tons of action, mostly all self created. His game took a jump up after being tortured out here for so many years. :smile:
Jeff is, indeed, an amateur, one of dozens that has a chance to beat top pros from time to time.
My view of a male pool professional in America would be a person who either:
a) has a significant presence in WPA sanctioned events
b) derives most of his income from playing or teaching pool

You need to reread my post. I said a pro was one who qualified on either of the two counts.
Also, FYI, Shane has a very substantial WPA presence.

I think Jay Helfert's comments and Jeff's comments ("sandianakid") in that thread say it all. Jeff doesn't make the rules for CW's tourney. To paraphrase Jay, "anyone that can run a rack scares away the locksmiths on here." Or perhaps "well, if he can beat me he must be a pro." Too funny.
Anyone that thinks pool has a distinct pro and amateur dividing line is freaking oblivious. Much ado about nothing, sorry RB - I misunderstood...I thought this was something new.
