I have no idea what you really mean, or what you are trying to get at. Perhaps you will clarify (if you are being sarcastic, or tongue in cheek I'm not sure again what your point is).
Jeff is a great player. A men's "pro pool tour" does NOT exist in this country (at least one that could provide a living for any significant number of players) - in my view all pool players are amateurs and should just play wherever and whenever they can. I assure you he has a "day job."
Jeff's victories this year are substantial, and against some good players. Two thumbs up for someone who has a ton of heart - probably more than most of the players he has beaten.

My view of a male pool professional in America would be a person who either:
a) has a significant presence in WPA sanctioned events
b) derives most of his income from playing or teaching pool
he maybe able to carry the "amateur tag" but he aint no amateur...my opinion
