orcollo wins with his new tiger cue

It is actually kind of interesting that at his elite level, Dennis is like the rest of us....searching for that perfect cue.

Yes, but there is a difference. Dennis will know when he finds his:smile:. Johnnyt

I watched him on 3 matches. One match he ran off either 4 or 5 racks while his opponent watched. It was great to get to see him in person.

Last I saw on Wednesday before the Dechaine match, Dennis settled on the Tiger TC7 with X-LD shaft.

You can see the cue here: http://crowncitybilliards.com/store/index.php/tiger-classic-series-cue-tc-7

This is the cue he beat Dechaine with.

Regardless, Dennis was very, very pleased with Tiger's offerings - encouraging several other Pro's to look into it.

Although their labels are confusing, I assume this is their 12.75 mm Ultra X LD shaft rather than their Pro X 11.75 mm shaft.

X-LD (12.75mm). This was the one he preferred - having tried the Ultra and X-Pro as well.

It's amazing how well and how quickly Dennis can adjust to whatever. He still of course has his preferences.

Thanks for the confirmation.

He's so good it's scary and I was amazed at his level of play. The match with him and Alex was as skillful as I've ever seen. It would be interesting to get an Accustats score on his match with Alex and then with Francisco in the finals.

Dennis is here now, sound asleep. They drove (four total) in yesterday afternoon and went shopping for food right away. Dennis cooked us all a big meal (he loves to cook) and we pigged out on chicken adobe. After that he talked to his wife at length on the computer (he's a wonderful family man!) and then he crashed. I know he and his crew partied hardy Sunday after winning the Open. So he is in recovery mode now.

Shane is in town too, getting in yesterday evening. He called me to see what's up. I told him Dennis was here and he seemed interested. I'd like to get him over here before he has to go back to Vegas for his match with Johnny. Sparks will fly if I can get these two together. :grin-devilish:

Indian's arrow better not be a crooked arrow.. : )

As the old saying goes "It's the Indian not the Arrow"

Definitely when it comes down to it, its the person weilding the cue..but honestly I remember watchin busty hittin a few balls and missing grossly and then looking at the cue while saying loudly in his heavy accent.." Pucking sheet..its crooked! " lol needless to say the indian better be shootin with a straight arrow otherwise indian miss buffalo and hit horse instead....

Dennis obviously believes in Tiger so I hope Tiger believes in Dennis too. If they havent already, I hope Tiger gives Dennis a contract and his own line of cues.

He also cycled through more than a few break cues before he settled on one.

What happened to Bustamante's usual cues?

Chris, his break cue had a phenolic tip. I think it was Mike Dechaine that called the infraction a few minutes before they played.

Wow, I did not hear that. Thanks Rod, hope all is well.

Dennis Orcollo should write a review on the cue that he used to win the Ten Ball Championship............. $519 sounds like an economical price for a cue, especially if it plays well. Sure Dennis can play well with practically any cue, but he obviously thought that he could play his best with the Tiger TC7 w/X-LD shaft.

What taper and what diameter is the shaft?

15" Pro Taper and 12.75mm at the tip (Sniper).
