I'm waiting on my 3rd Capone. A jump break to compliment my two 4 pointers I have by him.
Steve Lomax is building me a cue and we are using amboyna burl in the points and butt.Hope Snaplock will post up some pictures of this cue too.Starting in February, Bob Owen (Shurtz) is building me a player's cue. I have already picked out the wood and veneers.
Amboyna Burl (cored 3/4" and rock maple filled) for the points and handle
Veneer colors (natural/purple/teal green/natural) - outside in
Segmented handle with matching rings /double rings top and bottom of handle
Desert Ironwood for the forearm and butt sleeve (half Ironwood, half Amboyna butt sleeve)
19 to 19.3 oz. Forward Balanced (about 19”)
Hoppe ring at the bottom
2 Shafts, 12.75 mm, 1 with Hercules medium hard tip and 1 with Moori medium hard tip.
