Got Cheated In Olathe

It appears some facts were left out. I was there and witnessed the whole thing. She based her call on how the situation was explained to her the first timee. The description of the scenario changed by like 6 inches the mote was said. Also gary was absolutely wasted by 8pm that night. The match he's complaining about happened easy earlier in the day. The match he was forfeited .from was at 1:30 am the following morning. He also neglected to mention he physically charged at evelyn. Immediately there was a wall of bodies in front of her. I don't care the situation, nobody should EVER act in public the way you did. Your buddy Whitey stuck up for you and walked out behind you in protest. Bit you were solo intoxicated you turned on him too. Swearing up and down for something that had absolutely nothing to do with the match you were in.

The plot thickens.

physicaly charged at evelyn, i know i was intoxicated, but what the hell are you smoking.i have never in my life physically put my hands on a female.i may have said something to danny,i know and i apoligize to the spectators and fans, also to mike durbin for my behaveure, i know i wasnt professional.i am a player rep for durbin custom cues and more than anything i hope he understands my situation, which doesnt excuse my behaviour. i can take losing as well as winning, i dont have a reputation for trouble. how many times have you seen me cause trouble in olathe or anywhere. mcgurke, smoke another. stick up for evelyn, frankly i dont care. real prof

essional she is. what a f king joke as well as you are.

This is why i dont get online. Ignorent people make ignorent comments, chip, joey, and i have been friends a long time and still are. I am in a position to win this tournament, and this outragiously unfair call by a seasoned tournament director who lives in oklahoma, is this a mistake, or is this a biased call. Im not a f king crybaby, for all you nonplaying ,uneducated wanna be poolplayers, and i dont mean everyone on this thread. People who know me know this. Im still, and will continue to be upset, i was f ked. How can you make a call like that without seeing it.

Gl

It was a bad call. You did get a raw deal Gary. The worst thing that should have happened was a re-rack and play the game over. She took Joey's opinion over yours it seems. I have seen Gary play and gamble alot, and he's not a whiner, and what he did after the match has nothing to do with it. Billy Kuykendall.

Call should go to the shooter, simple as that, not favoritism!
Lenny,
You are correct. If there wasn't a ref called over, it always goes to the shooter. Don't know any of the people involved and not gonna call anyone a cheat. But that was a very shitty foul called. Probably cost him the match.

No.
Someone already did.
Stop being LAZY and do it for yourself...or read a little farther in the post where a man did just what you scream for.

( Sorry...I'm getting copious amounts of goodness at the inability of those not versed in hieroglyphics. Can you imagine Howard Carter whining in Egypt
about the those!? What a bunch of LAZY readers are we...willing to put no
effort into deciphering the troubled missive of an angry man... )

Hey thanks for spending your time to "patrol" my comment. I wasn't screaming about anything. And now some jackass gave me a red rep for my post.lol

I finally went and read the abomination of a post. Thanks for the inspiration to do that.

Whatever...it will pass.

Surely not the first loss you've suffered...probably not even the worst.

Maybe it will light a fire under your ass and you will benefit, in the longer-term.

Maybe you will decide pool is silly and quit.

Who knows?

But you must acknowledge that the whole situation was caused by your error.

A man should never touch balls.

This was a bad called by the TD. She didn't see the shot. The two players were in disagreement. She took one's word over the other. She was wrong. It either should have been no foul or play the game over IMO.

But when the responsibility to make a determination rests on an individual, and there are opposing parties, the appearance of taking 'one's word over the other's" will always exist.

Best way to avoid a penalty is to not commit the action penalized.

fixed it a lil

My First Match I draw Joey Grey 146 Players Joey Sells Highest In The Auction I have never posted anything online before i thought this is something that the pool world should know i have had evelyn run a lot of my tournaments over the years and she overall has done well i am having shoulder surgery soon and in just the last couple weeks my shoulder has felt a little better so i picked olathe ks my favorite venue

i am friends with dan tull for years my opinion the best tournaments in the midwest and the country in the last 4 years i havent missed 1 i havent played since april 5 because of my injury im playing joey and i am up 7 6 he has missed 1 ball and i havent missed any its my shot and i shoot a long shot on the 3 ball i can bank it or cut it thin the 9 ball is about 6 inches to the right and a little below it i elect to play the 3 9 combo to the right corner pocket i hang the 9 in the corner and play a 2 rail safe the 3 ball is froze directly behind the 7 ball on the rail joey is hooked cant see the three now when i shot i moved the 5 ball with my cue joey says it got in the path of the cue ball i said it didnt and he can leave it there or move it.

back he goes and gets evelyn and he tells her he thinks the 5 got in the path of the cue ball i tell her i dont think it did she asks joey where the balls were and he says hes not sure i showed evelyn where the balls were now she says theres a 6 inch rule if the cue ball comes within 6 inches its a foul i told her it was farther away than that my back is facing the bleachers and i told her to ask anyone in the bleachers she says shes not asking anyone and calls it a foul ball in hand for joey i said its my word against his he shoots the 3 9 wins game and match 9 7.

without a referee or tournament director how can you call a foul call should have gone to the shooter and im up 8 6 with 2 breaks left not 1 person i talked to agreed with that lowlife move by team oklahoma i am so pissed off never been so f ing mad in my life im playing joey were in a soft bracket where joey or myself should get out to meet alex olinger joey plays alex today i am currently working and i lost about 500 there entry fees for both tournaments 120 for half my calcutta 300 for hotel 100 for gas 200 spent in shooters easily iwas playing good enough to possibly win the tournament im talking to players and fans about what happened.

evelyn comes up and tells me to shut my mouth about the call or she will bar me from all midwest 9 ball events and she says she will bar me from the building also i forfieted my next match and i kept talking about how i was down right cheated i talked to joey he said he didnt even think he would have got the call i play these guys in a lot of tournaments and i win some and lose some so if team oklahoma evelyn and joey want to make it right send me my 1000 im out or you will never see me at any event you have anything to do with

JAMES DORAN PAY NICOLE KEENEY WORK IT OUT WITH HER

So what?
It's a hard read-that's true.
Damned control freaks.
You should move to Belmont, commiefornia, where you can't BBQ, wash your car in the driveway or smoke in an apartment.
WTH are we that we think we can tell people they can't be 'lazy', as you put it?
Seriously? SO WHAT that he can use their, there and they're correctly?
HE SAID HE WAS PISSED. ( Oh GOD, what have I done using CAPS! OMG! )
That's all we have to address the rage the man feels?
That his grammar sucks?
LMAO.
Pathetic.

It's OK that he wrote it like that, but it's also OK for people not to read it because it's a pain to make out what he wrote. I started to, got about 2 lines in and then tried to do a scan for what the actual point was. It was there after the history of when/where/how he played and that he got hurt then could not play and a monkey stole his cue then he has car issues and his cat lost it's fur so therefore he should not have been in the wrong when he moved a ball with his stick so there.

If one wants one's words to be read, here is the way.

So I was playing in a tournament, I moved a ball, the opponent said it moved into or from the path of the cue ball. I though he was wrong but the ref agreed with the other guy. END.

BTW if you move a ball, expect bad things to happen, the game should be all ball fouls all the time, the only reason they do cue ball fouls is that A. there are not enough refs to watch every match in ever dinky tournament out there and B. if not you need to take the word of the guy you are trying to beat that you moved something if you did not notice it, and of course the guy you are playing is a low life cheater who'd sell his mother to cannibals.

See how clear that was?

Re-rack and start over or call goes to the shooter. You don't "give" someone ball in hand unless it was clearly a foul by the shooter. Unfortunately for the OP sounds like he was the road man in this situation. Always expect the questionable calls to go in favor of the locals.

Gare, you and I go back a Looooooooooooog way, we've been around and I'm sure you remember our first encounter when you were traveling with CJ and were in KS at the Cowboy, something honkey tonk, with $5K added. I didn't forget and I lost in a way when we matched up that I didn't forget. Anywho, back on topic.
At the event, I was playing Jerimiah Johnson, winners side final 8. JJ's friend (Big Bullfrog Type of Bar Fly) was reffing and called a bad hit late in the match when I was ahead and about 8-10 odds the best of it to win. It was blatant robbery because I did hit the ball, it moved and I'll never forget it. What comes around goes around in our game, I'm sure you'll be back, the only give up in your game was when you empited out in KS later on. Knowing our relationship/or interactions so to speak over the yrs. I don't find this situation all that unusual. I would like to hear Joeys side. Keep it going Missouri :).

I think you got shafted as far as the call against you,,it always goes to the shooter when in doubt. ALWAYS!

But as I read further and from your own words,,,,sounds like you was drunk. And there is more going here than just this "call".

If you expressed yourself to the ref ,,,like mentioned,,,and like you type. And adding in 99 beers,,,,,,I can see how it went the way it did.

Did I read you want your money back??? LMAO And now that the hangover is gone,,everything is crystal clear on how you got shafted. Except just maybe,,you forgot a few minor details!!!!

Sounds like you had fun,,maybe too much fun and now it's sour grapes!!!

But was it a clear penalty? That is the question. If not, if there is disagreement, then for the TD to come over and rule on something she did not see, is arbitrary at best, and biased at worst. IMO.

I can understand Gary's anger...and that it will take a long time to subside. It's one thing to play hard & lose. You did your best & came up short. I think Gary handles that end of it (competition) well based on my own observation of his game & the comments in this thread.

It's a whole 'nother feeling to have a potential victory stripped from you by a TD. You have no control over that & you have no way to argue it. Their verdict is final. You feel helpless & you are left to think about potential winnings unrealized & the lost money just travelling there.

Add a fews buds to the mix & you've got a raging fire that might inspire someone as even tempered as Gary to pop a cork.

Next time this happens, & it probably will Gary, I expect you'll not give up & fight through the loser's bracket. Imagine how sweet it would have been to win the thing despite (what you see as) her atempt to cheat you! That would have been sweet vindication.

Awesom, this is the best post on this thread!

first of all, sorry about the jumbled writing.i just drove 7 hours and i was still upset over the call. i didnt know how to post on here, finally figured it out and just kept writing.

our match started at 1.15pm i got up at 11am, i was hardly drunk, breakfast, coffee, and juice. fortunate for me, i know david peat and he graciously offered to give me grammer lessons. i may have had a few to many and made an ass out of myself like a lot of you do when you turn your computer on.

i have apoligized already for my behavour, how long has evelyn been running tournaments, do you really think this was an honest error, i dont.
chip, joey, and myself have drinks together, we gamble against each other, and bet on each other. i have gambled high against both of them and never, never had any problem with either one of them.

i cant believe the stupid comments that are made on this forum. i bet 90 percent of the people that talk their shit wish they could run 5 balls. i am not crying or whining about what happened, i am f...king mad. if all you bullshit talkers could compete at this level, you may understand.

ive been around a long time, i know right from wrong and so does evelyn. have a nice day. hey billy, thanks for the post.

Then go away...and continue to fight for your right to touch balls.

You started the thread on AZ. People are going to comment. Some will agree with your position and some won't. You are not helping your case by cussing the people who respond here. Yes, I can tell you are mad. I don't know about others, but I'm not really jealous of your game or anybody else's for that matter (maybe Efren's).
