My First Match I draw Joey Grey 146 Players Joey Sells Highest In The Auction I have never posted anything online before i thought this is something that the pool world should know i have had evelyn run a lot of my tournaments over the years and she overall has done well i am having shoulder surgery soon and in just the last couple weeks my shoulder has felt a little better so i picked olathe ks my favorite venue i am friends with dan tull for years my opinion the best tournaments in the midwest and the country in the last 4 years i havent missed 1 i havent played since april 5 because of my injury im playing joey and i am up 7 6 he has missed 1 ball and i havent missed any its my shot and i shoot a long shot on the 3 ball i can bank it or cut it thin the 9 ball is about 6 inches to the right and a little below it i elect to play the 3 9 combo to the right corner pocket i hang the 9 in the corner and play a 2 rail safe the 3 ball is froze directly behind the 7 ball on the rail joey is hooked cant see the three now when i shot i moved the 5 ball with my cue joey says it got in the path of the cue ball i said it didnt and he can leave it there or move it back he goes and gets evelyn and he tells her he thinks the 5 got in the path of the cue ball i tell her i dont think it did she asks joey where the balls were and he says hes not sure i showed evelyn where the balls were now she says theres a 6 inch rule if the cue ball comes within 6 inches its a foul i told her it was farther away than that my back is facing the bleachers and i told her to ask anyone in the bleachers she says shes not asking anyone and calls it a foul ball in hand for joey i said its my word against his he shoots the 3 9 wins game and match 9 7 without a referee or tournament director how can you call a foul call should have gone to the shooter and im up 8 6 with 2 breaks left not 1 person i talked to agreed with that lowlife move by team oklahoma i am so pissed off never been so f ing mad in my life im playing joey were in a soft bracket where joey or myself should get out to meet alex olinger joey plays alex today i am currently working and i lost about 500 there entry fees for both tournaments 120 for half my calcutta 300 for hotel 100 for gas 200 spent in shooters easily iwas playing good enough to possibly win the tournament im talking to players and fans about what happened and evelyn comes up and tells me to shut my mouth about the call or she will bar me from all midwest 9 ball events and she says she will bar me from the building also i forfieted my next match and i kept talking about how i was down right cheated i talked to joey he said he didnt even think he would have got the call i play these guys in a lot of tournaments and i win some and lose some so if team oklahoma evelyn and joey want to make it right send me my 1000 im out or you will never see me at any event you have anything to do with

Other than that, if what you say is true then you got screwed. I'm not gonna comment on Evelyn because i can't win. I feel you bro, really

Team Oklahoma? Sounds like you are bunching a group of people together for no reason. Evelyn is from KS correct?

Anyways, sorry if you felt like you got cheated. I have known Joey for a long time, and he, like most other Okies, is a respectable honest person. I doubt he would just try to outright cheat you over a call like this. He must've honestly felt it was a reasonable call to make, or else he would've left it alone.
 
The OP is lazy. Most people that write a post like his are not well educated, and simply don't know how to write well.

This poster spelled every single word correctly. He even used the correct "there". His choice of words was very good to express his opinion.

There is no excuse for someone who obviously knows how to write and spell to make a post like this. Lazy.
 
Evelyn's history of running tournaments for years and Joey's history of being a stand up guy are enough for me to assume that maybe Mr. Lutman is mistaken about some of the facts here.

I am going to assume you really didn't know and tell you that not using proper grammar and punctuation is rude. I fought my way through though and managed to figure out what you were saying although it was much more difficult than it should have been.

Tough break on the call. Someone always has to lose the call when the tournament director is called in for a judgement. Foul on all balls would solve that issue though and should be the rule in any real tournament.
 
People who really cares how the man wrote it up,u can still clearly read what he is talking about,weather u agree or not is up to you,Mr.Gary Lutman is a respected old time player that has been around forever,so believe me what ever the man says,it does have merit to it,also the man does play at a very high level,and will gamble with anyone,while betting all they want,man has my respect!
 
Geez, let's cut Gary a break. He said it was his first post and he is mad. When I'm mad, I take a little less time polishing my words for readability...you just want to type the words out as fast as you can. Let's not pile grammar police on his already bad situation.

Sorry to hear about your ugly problem Gary. I wish there was a way to fix it, but it's forever done.

The Nicole part caught my attention though.
Nicole is a nice kid.
I've know her since she used to come into Table Steaks with her dad, dressed in pajamas.
Nicole was dressed in pajamas, not her dad.
I wouldn't want anything said on this thread to be misconstrued.

Whoever James "Duff" Doran is, pay the girl.
She has worked hard on her game and deserves to be paid.

There's bad punctuation....and then there is NO punctuation.

I couldn't read it until someone edited it for us. As much as I enjoy this forum, I will not give myself a major headache trying to interpret such a post.

I'm not here to knock him. I simply couldn't read and understand it. In my opinion, folks should want their posts to be easily understood, especially on a forum like this.

Maybe I am wrong.
