I just recieved a call from evelyn dysart and was informed i was banned from all midwest 9 ball events for 1 year. i have played in and supported the midwest 9 ball tournament for many years, along with tournaments all over the united states. i think unsportsman like conduct and unprofessional has no place in our sport. having said that i made a huge mistake in olathe and did both.

i have been playing pool a long time and i am not a shady character and i will call a bad hit on myself if my opponent doesnt see it, i have always showed class weather if i win or if i lose. i have never in my life had any kind of issue with any tournament directer ever. i am a longtime cash player and a lot of people know me and and im a gentleman, win or lose. i ha, but,ve publicly and privately apologized to evelyn for my unspeakable bad behavior. i respect evelyn very much and this is her decision and i respect that. however i dont want this to tarnish my reputation as a person.

i have played many players for high dollars and i believe it would hard to find 1 that doesent enjoy competing with me, or would say im not a gentleman to play, im a tough competiter and if i think im right i will fight.a lot of people read the thread i posted and a lot of angry and mean things were said by me. i cant wait to play in the midwest tournaments again.

Good Luck with your events danny and evelyn,

Sincerly,
Gary Lutman

Chalk it up to experience, and ride it out. People will think better of you if you keep your cool during your hiatus.

Good luck to you.

Me and my buddy popcorn was watching your match.(race to 15 for 1000)
Was one of the best matches i have ever witnessed. You play well and the most impressive show of some one that has know quit in them.
Nice playing.

Well done Gary. You have accepted this and done so with respect and class. Good luck to you.

How many tournaments do they have a year? Does this mean you are banned from the venue, or just from playing in the tournaments? I can only think of a few tournaments with the majority of them being at Shooters in Olathe.

Nothing but a classy post...................

Now that's what a real man does, in a situation like this.

I guess a search at onepocket.org would dispute some of the things you have to say Gary. I read a post recently by John Brumback that didn't go into great detail but was less than complimentary of you.

For anyone that cares, go to onepocket.org and read the thread "Some things I've seen".

Well Gary, I must admit I avoided that thread like the plague. All Things happen for a reason. And it sounds like you are being honest. Check it off your bucket list and dust yourself off. Time for your big come back:D

Back home we have a name for people that make remarks like this...we call them $*** Slingers or Stirrers if you prefer. You certainly have a right to say it but to what end?

I read the first couple posts where Brumback told some stories but wasn't mentioning any names.

You have my respect sir. There were enough who vouched for your character in the first thread that I wouldn't doubt it.

Lay offf

I've known Gary a while and while he is no saint, he certainly has had way more good days than bad when playing. I mean his attitude. He got out of line because he felt cheated and then made it worse by drinkin a bit too much. I have seen the best of men get out of line every now and then. He manned up and apologized and has done everything to make it right. He even let go of the fact he thinks he got cheated just to make things right. So give him a freaking pass on this one.

Spoken like a true Gentleman Gary...Every person that walks the face of this earth makes mistakes, simply known as being human...!!! To admit that one has done wrong or made a mistake, in my opinion shows, that you have class and are a stand up person...(He or She) Props to you Gary, and i wish you lots of luck in the future....!!!!!! Will be talking with you soon -:(!!!

Brumback made no references to Lutman in that thread, so you've either read it wrong or got some information other than what was written by him.

Besides, I don't see any angel wings 'round these parts..

Heck, I don't even expect all of my friends to like each other. No biggie.
