Balabushka sold on eBay $5,000 one bid only

No better pictures, no letter, no nothing. Maybe the seller sent him pics that no one else saw. If its real, its a great deal.

I saw it...watched it...believed it to be an Adams...I could be wrong though...

I don't think the deal is THAT great even if it is a Bushka. Sure its under market, but not enough to justify the risk that the cue is a Black, or Horn or
countless others. The seller was uncommunicative and uncooperative and quite possibly scamming.

LOL Did it include free shipping??? No way I would pay that kind of money for a cue without some kind of documentation or LOA.

I also asked... no response. This was surely a scam and it did look like an Adams.

1 feedback as a buyer. Poor pic and everything that others have mentioned already. Someone prolly got took.

Yikes!!

uhoh, thats just crazy, like the Balabushka box, that sold on eBay for like $700, just a box that a bushka was in at one time?

I think surely a scam as well :( the bad part is that if it is one of the Adams and is signed 'Balabushka' on the forearm, he technically didn't break any rules by the book. He simply said 'Balabushka pool cue' on the title, and 'good cond' on the description, then went looking for a sucker :( Hopefully the buyer will wise up and not pay, or the seller will get what Karma has in store for him, because I doubt the buyer will have any recourse when it comes down to it.

the winner is either a hero or a zero, great risk deserve great rewards, and if it has a szam forearm it is well into the 20,000 range

I also saw that one and it was DEFINITELY not a Balabushka unless he meant an Adams or a tribute of some sort. I wrote him about it telling him he's going to need a LOA to sell for that price, offered to point him to experts and I did not receive a response as well. I have a feeling the buyer was the seller on a different account or a friend of the seller trying to make this look legit in some way. If it wasn't and someone really thought this was a GB, I sure hope this cue is at least a copy made by a decent maker like Horn or one of his contemporaries and even then it's a bit high in this market. My best guess on this cue was possibly a Richard Black custom.

Good shooting to you,

Kevin

If it was a Black he didn't get screwed at all depending on what kind of Black.

A. The ring above the wrap looks too thick & the ivory blocks also look way too big to be a Richard Black.

B. You can buy a brand new Bushka from Richard Black for $2300.

To me the birdseye forearm and ivory and ebony bushka ring scream fake all day. Pretty sure he used straight grained maple and maple and ebony in his rings. I'm no expert but I think someone got porked!
