Yes; no two year deal. But, your response does nothing regarding the possibility of a three year deal!!!
Your post are overly precise and detailed. This error in phrasing is unusual given multiple post all stating the existence of a three year contract.
Your post would be accurate but deceiving as it does not preclude the existence of a three year deal.

I am an intelligent human being but I wonder if I am sometimes responding to stuff that people make up themselves and use the I heard a rumour ploy to legitimise it.
You are smart! Why not say there was never a multiple year deal? It is very possible a deal existed and matchroom decided to break that contract.
Very seldom is the rumor mill this far off. And seldom does someone find the need for a poll about it to better illustrate the need for a change in direction via public outrage like that poster.
You could have said oops I meant no three year deal. But this response is vague at best regarding the topic.

If Matchroom chose the below-referenced team and gave them a chance to practice ahead of time, let me just say that the blue-blooded Team Europe and its all-stars don't have to like it:
Keith McCready, Mike Sigel, Jose Parica, Dave Matlock, and Dee Adkins.
This group of players don't hit 'em as often as today's sponsored globetrotters do, but they are a force to be reckoned with when they want to win.
What are ABP points? At present, they are nothing. They are a joke, and not a very funny one at that.
What might ABP points become? ----- a vehicle by which CW directs the activities of American pros through giving prominence to any pool events he pleases. It seems logical to assume that CW is, in his own estimation, inching closer to being in control of the rankings that determine both international event invites and Mosconi Cup participation for American pool players.
Still, I won't jump to a conclusion here. I'll await developments. Can ABP points replace BCA points? I believe they can, but hope they won't.

But, i do want to say what is on my mind and why I chimed in!!!
There are SEVERAL scenario’s that are possible for corruption and underhanded behavior and those scenario’s don’t have to exist!!!!
Scenario 1: Someone is in the Hunt for the Mosconi Cup spot and the powers that be go behind closed doors and stack the road to the US OPEN extremely hard via the Seeding and lack of a REAL DRAW for the person they don’t want to win!!!
Scenario 2: Someone is in the hunt for the Mosconi Cup spot and pay a person to take a dive so they can get the few points they need for the extra CASH!!!
Scenario 3: Someone is in the hunt for the Mosconi Cup spot and behind closed doors draw Elmur Fudd, then Miss Piggy followed by Daffy Duck and are purposely placed on the softest side of the board to help them get the Mosconi cup slot! intended for them!!
Scenario 4: Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden it is switched from top 5 players to captain selection!!!
Scenario 5: Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden it is switched from top 5 to Mosconi Cup MVP automatic slot:
Scenario 6:Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden it is switched from top 5 to Matchroom choice!
Scenario 7: Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden 2 more events are added to the calculation! So, intended player has more chances to win the slot!
Scenario 8: Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden some events they did well in are worth less points and some events others did good in are worth more! Changing the outcome!
Scenario 9: Someone wins a spot and all of a sudden there is a drastic change in how many points 1st to last are awarded. Same money added and same field but 1st gets 100 points and the other event was awarded 200 points all things equal. But, hey the intended person is now in the points lead.
I can go on and on and on about the possible ways of manipulation to basically steal a slot from the the TRUE winner and give it to whom ever they want! Just stop dangling the carrot for these young guns and pulling it away as soon as they GRAB it!!!
Why have BCA do these calculations and guys jumping through hoops when they are never intended to EVER be the recipient.
Let anyone of these things happen to Keith and JAM will be out with pitch fork in one hand and picket sign in the other if he ever ventures back into the sport!!!! Thats why I chime in and fight for Independent third parties and a return to a true draw!!! To help those that can’t help themselves and have no idea what may be happening to them behind closed doors!!!

You know, you are right in that the Mosconi Cup selection criteria has changed several times over the past years. If you remember, it all started with that damn UPA and their favoritism. Matchroom Sports then changed the selection criteria so Charlie Williams -- I mean the UPA couldn't dictate who goes where.
What a shame it is that today the only thing those precious ranking points are worth for the Americans is their shot at playing in the Mosconi Cup. Otherwise, those stupid ranking points aren't worth a damn to an American.
What will be the kicker is if Matchroom Sports decides they don't want to deal with this pool infighting anymore and just end the Mosconi Cup era. Then where will American pool be?
What about the last time it was in England I think it was then when the U.S. got on a roll the first day and all of a sudden they changed the number of matches that were to be played, right in the middle of things?
I think that had an effect on the out come that year.
It is a Match Room choice right now except for the top two spots, even though they say in choosing the other three the points will be taken into account.

Another thing APB points tell us is that Darren Appleton needs to practice harder. He's the reigning champion of the World 9-ball, US Open 9-ball, and Challenge of Champions. Good enough for an ABP ranking of #9. Come on Darren, you need to step it up and perform better in the events that really matter.
