Anybody played on Z9 cloth before?

I'm looking to tighten the pockets of my table and since I'll be doing that it only makes sense I change the cloth too. Been shopping around and Z9 cloth came highly recommended to me. Unfortunately I've no prior experience playing with them however because the source's reputation is so solid I'm sold and am pretty decided on it.

I would however still like to solicit for inputs from AZers whom have played on Z9 before and what you think about the cloth?

Much thanks!

you cant go wrong, lasts a lot longer than other cloth. I know the owner for yrs, he had the pool hall where i play. we play on it for many yrs now and its probably the most chosen cloth here.

I have and it plays fine. z9 used to be a Planet Pool/ Tiger Tour sponsor and some of the rooms we used redid tables with it.

That said, why would anybody ever choose anything other than Simonis?

Is it just a mustard and pepper on fries thing?

Played on it once at an old location. Played similar to Simonis and was supposed to last longer and be more durable of spills and shit like that.

It's not bad, but you cant really go wrong with Simonis either.

Usually the answer to that is "price". I haven't heard of Z9 until now, went to look up the cost and couldn't find any place to buy online, at least not one that lists prices.

Anyone know what this stuff runs?

I have it also and am quite satisfied with it. I bought my table used from the young lady who used to run the Planet Pool/Tiger Tour tournaments and she threw in enough of the Z9 cloth to recover the table twice. So I didn't have to buy cloth when I first had the table set up or again when I moved to a new house.

I'm sorry to say I don't know what cloth they use at the local pool halls I frequent, I just know that the cloth on my home table is as good as or better than anything else I play on.

I had heard it was significantly cheaper, so I'm disapponted to hear that it's almost the same price. When the time comes, I'll do my price research and keep the Z9 as a strong candidate.

I have z9 on my home table, and we play on it sometimes during league/ tournaments. I like the cloth, it plays fast and it seems to last.

Z9 is made by the company founded by very strong german player Klaus Zobrekis.i have played on tables with Z9 and i liked it very much,my control of cue ball seemed to be slightly better on Z9 than on 860 which surely is very subjective to each player.Z9 supposedly should last longer than 860 which i just dont have a clue if it is true. :) price is about the same. Hope it helps ;)

Thanks for all the heads up guys! I read about the cloth being invented by a pro German player and how it's made in Germany to the highest standard and all. But we all know how sales and marketing works so I'm glad I managed to solicit some real world feedback.

My original intention was to go for Simonis however I was told the pros and cons between them 2 and was sold on the Z9 as it was explained how it would last longer and plays better longer. Price is about the same for them two. Well since I don't see any negative feedback I'm more settled and should have everything in within 2 weeks. Hopefully then I'll be able to do a review as well with periodic updates.

I still welcome more feedbacks though. I've a couple more days before everything is final. Thanks guys!
